Laqeramaline, the Great Banshee is an NPC in Arknights. She is first mentioned in A Walk in the Dust before appearing as a supporting character in Act II of the Main Theme and the Babel event.
Background
Laqeramaline was the previous "Great Banshee", the leader of the Banshee's Elegiac Court, a Sarkaz sub-race proficient in oral-based Arts whether it is spoken or written. She was one of the "Six Heroes" who, under Theresa and Theresis' lead, reorganized all of Kazdel's armed forces and launched an all-out attack against the allied forces during the Great Crusade in the Terran year 898, hence changing the tides of the battle.[1][2][3]
As the dust settled, Laqeramaline made a decision to withdrew the entirety of Banshee tribe after their pyrrhic victory because she was tired of the constant conflicts, thus establishing a settlement hidden from the outside world known as the "Convallis of the Banshee", which cannot be entered by any normal means. Her son, Logos, later succeeded her position as the Great Banshee in the current era.[4][5]

Trivia
- Her name is a combination of lāqa (لَاقَ), "to become" in Arabic,[6] and ramale, "twig" in Latin[7]. Hence, her name has the meaning of "To Become Twigs."
