The Caerula Arbor is an NPC in Arknights. His legacy plays an important role in Mizuki & Caerula Arbor.
Background
Caerula Arbor the "Creeping Branch" is a dying tree-like Leviathan representing the power of "Growth" who had lost His struggle in controlling the kin, causing Him to fall from grace from the Many. His roots grow towards the core of Terra and feed on the energy of the magma beneath the surface, and is said have the potential to consume the entire planet if allowed to grow unchecked, but currently, the Arbor is acting as a mere food source that nourishes microscopic Seaborn cells in the ocean.[1]
In some alternative future, the Arbor will be forced to finish His struggle against the other Firstborn once and for all. If He lost to Ishar'mla again, He will fall back into it dormant form forever. He will also slowly be devoured by the other Firstborn, especially the rampaging "Primordial Lifespring."
Mizuki is the key to rescue the Arbor as he possesses some of His cells implanted by Cicero. In this timeline, he would either become the Arbor's lost consciousness and merge with the rampaging "Primordial Lifespring" to pacify them through the remaining power of the Arbor before disappearing from this world forever, or will assimilate with and revive Him as Izumik, the Source of Ecology. In the latter case, Izumik will lead their kin to search for a new home beyond Terra, parting ways with Mizuki before the end.
