Cecelia la Porta is an NPC in Arknights. She is a major character in Guide Ahead, and the protagonist of Cecelia and the Sauin Pilgrimage.

Background[edit]

Born from a Sankta mother and a Sarkaz father, Cecelia is a child that biologically should not exist. A child from the union of a Sankta and non-Sankta results in the traits of the non-Sankta exclusively, and never a Sankta. However, she is born with a halo and wings of light, a defining trait of the Sankta, alongside subtle manifestations of Sarkaz power. Her existence is regarded as an anomaly, defying established expectations of the Sankta and revealing the nature of Sankta-Sarkaz relations. During the Lateran Disaster, Cecelia's halo dimmed but unlike other Sanktas she's not fully affected by it for unknown reason.

Cecelia and the Sauin Pilgrimage[edit]

Cecelia, accompanied by Ezell and guided by Grimm, participates in the Sauin festivities while searching for her Sarkaz father. Working on a parade float, they discover a lead in the form of an anonymous order for Laterano-style weaponry. She and Ezell join the festivities using fake Sarkaz horns. During the parade, Cecelia spots a man she believes to be her father and rushes towards him. The man, Ian, helps them onto the float and reveals his awareness of their Sankta identity. Cecelia, believing Ian to be her father based on his recounted past and details matching her own, spends time with him. However, Ian later reveals he is not her father, but a dying man who lost his own Sankta family. He expresses gratitude for the brief moments of familial connection, which she tearfully reciprocates. She and Ezell later visit Ian's grave.[2]

The Masses' Travels[edit]

Cecelia is seen with Ezell celebrating her birthday in Kazdel with a cake made of sweet potato. They later sang a Lateran hymn but Enforcer's wings and halo suddenly dimmed which panicked her. This in turn, caused a bright light to flash which was noticed by Ermengarde and a pair of Sarkaz workers. Ermengarde, noticing the light, then drives the workers off and tried to approach the building they're in. She then sees Cecelia frightened by both her entrance and Ezell's condition. Ermengarde then proceeded to calm her down saying she's not here to harm both of them, but Ezell's condition shocked her to the point she contacted Fremont. She described how she encountered 2 Sanktas but one of them is in an extremely wrong state. Fremont, knowing how dire the situation is, then asked her to bring them both to him.[3]
