Golding
Golding is an NPC in Arknights. She is first mentioned in Heidi's files before acting as a supporting character in Episode 11.
Background[edit]
Golding is a literature teacher of Gaulish descent who works at the Saint Marsol school in Londinium. Due to few personnel the school can afford, she also doubled as the school nurse. She worked together with Heidi and the Victorian self-salvation corps and gathered intel for them, sharing information about Sarkaz's movement in Auchterrig.

Episode 11[edit]
When she was visiting the bookstore to get books for the children, she met the wounded Heidi. She took her in and cared for her wounds. Heidi told her that war was coming and she managed to convince Golding to work together with her and the self-salvation corps by sharing intel on the Sarkaz's movement in Londinium.[1] She also took precautions and stocked up on essentials for the teachers and children in the school.[2]
After Lettou's visit to the school where Golding taught went sour, Molly was captured and knocked unconscious by the Damazti. They disguised themselves as Molly to make sure that Golding didn't suspect anything while the information about self-salvation corps base locations was sent to the military commission.[3]
Episode 12[edit]
Golding felt her confidence faltering because she couldn't change anything despite trying her hardest to do her job. She felt helpless knowing that children she taught would grow up with resentment and hate. The final nail in the coffin was when she found out that the information about the Victorian's self-salvation corps bases, the information that she tried her best to safeguard, were leaked.[4] She confronted Lettou about this, but Lettou told her that she could only blame herself for doing an unprofessional job in keeping secrets.[5] Molly finally revealed herself as the Damazti. Golding realized that the information had been leaked long ago by the disguised Damazti and blamed herself for condemning the self-salvation corps to their death[6]
Unable to deal with the guilt, she took the easy way out and committed suicide. The Damazti was last seen taking over her appearance before her death.[7]
