Administrators are users with additional tools to manage the community and promote the Arknights Terra Wiki.

Overview[edit]

Administrators have the following functions:

  • Deleting/undeleting pages and files
  • Locking (protecting) and unlocking a page from being edited or renamed by users without admin rights or autoconfirmed status
  • Blocking IP addresses or users from editing
  • Rollback
  • Editing the interface (after consulting other users and staffs)

An activity status is determined based on the last edit date, the number of edits made per week, and/or participation of discussions. There are situations when you must notify an active administrator for an incoming hiatus if you know you will not be active.

  • "Active" is considered to be making edits weekly.
  • "Semi-active" is considered to be making at least some edits in the last 30 days.
  • "Inactive" is considered to be absent for more than one month.
  • "Leave of absence" is considered to be a period of time that a user must be away or take a break, while maintaining the status of a user.

Administrators right policy[edit]

All Administrators must abide to the staff policy. Failure to comply may result in the loss of your rights.

Administrator rights are a responsibility
Having Administrator rights should not be used as a way to "show-off" or having more "power" than other users. It is used to provide you with more tools in managing the wiki.
Sharing responsibility with other non Administrator users for removing malicious edits
From time to time, wikis will often receive malicious edits, such as but not limited to: spam, vandalism, plagiarized content, false information, and more. As an Administrator, you are responsible for removing these edits. If you're having difficulties to revert them due to accessibility issues i.e Internet connection, please contact other users or Administrator to revert those edits.
Civilized manner
Administrators must remain civilized within all discussions. Childish behavior or other unacceptable acts are forbidden on Arknights Terra Wiki. Do not revert an edit to a page without consulting or notifying other users or staffs. Fact-checking any changes, unless it's malicious edits, is a responsibility of everyone involved in the wiki.
Active
You should be committed in helping the wiki. Be active in your own capabilities. If you wishes to take a break from your duties, please notify an administrator immediately. Do not ever prioritize wiki management over your real-life priorities.
Any Violations is subject to right removal
Any form of violation may and will cause removal of your Administration rights. A majority consensus is to be held to discuss a Administrator's right removal. Severe infringements may not require a consensus, terms and conditions apply.
Follow the guidelines and policies of the Wiki.
The wiki has its own guidelines and policies. Don't rely on your own standards in managing the wiki and don't abuse your rights.
Keep the communication channels up
Refrain from reverting changes from another user before asking them. You're not the sole person working on the wiki.

Requesting for Administrator[edit]

If you feel you are capable of demonstrating the use of Administrator rights, you can request for a nomination stating your stance of why you should be promoted. To request for Administrator rights, a user can request for it by holding a community discussion or contact a local administrator. The user requesting for the rights must prove they have met the requirements, unless otherwise stated or revoked by the community. Said users should understand that these rights are not a privilege but rather a responsibility.

Please read these guidelines carefully before deciding to request for Administrator rights. Administrators will not tolerate any other reasons beside the ones listed below and must refrain from showing bias or favoritism. In addition, getting to know the administrators is not advised to request for these rights.

All users must meet the minimum requirements to be eligible for nomination:

  • Edit counts are not used as an indicator for eligibility.
  • You should be responsible for all actions taking place around the wiki. If you see vandalism and there are no other Administrators around, take responsibility by reverting the edit.
  • You should be civilized within all discussion, this also means you should show respect and treat others equally.
  • We strongly advise you to not have any negative reputation within the Arknights community or outside it. Whether we'll give you chance to redeem yourself will be discussed with other Administrators.
  • You are a highly trustworthy individual.
  • You are willing to adapt to the format of this wiki and follow its style without changing anything in particular. If you want to change some stuffs please discuss it with other staffs. Making a one-sided change without consulting others are forbidden and violates the cooperation work status of the wiki.
  • You have some knowledge of Arknights or played it for some months, and not just some editor who knows coding.
  • We advise you to keep the communication up in your works of maintaining the wiki contents. The wiki is maintained by cooperation of other numerous users.

Please note that in the future, if you do not contribute to the community for some time without stating your reasons, Administrators have the choice to revoke you from your rights unanimously. If you wish to nominate your replacement please discuss it with other staffs.
