The High Priest is an NPC in Arknights. He is a supporting character in The Great Chief Returns and the pilot of The Big Ugly Thing (which he ejects himself from upon destruction) and Raging Ironhide (used by Eunectes when her 
Iron Will is active).
Background
The High Priest had been living in Acahualla for a very long time – long before the first Great Chief of Acahualla and its incorporation into Sargon's hegemony – thanks to his traits as a "Lord of the Beasts" that make him immortal. He befriended Zumama whom he works together to build a giant robot nicknamed "the Big Ugly Thing," and he has been surviving numerous explosions caused by the robot's malfunction. He also acquaints Emperor, another notable Beast Lord, and met at some point in the past. Due to his ability to teleport himself, many including Gavial mistook him to be Zumama's "invisible friend" in her mind.
Despite his avian traits, the High Priest is not a Liberi, but the Acahuallans treat him as one as they are unaware with the existence of the Beast Lords. Such is also the case with Emperor.
Story
The Great Chief Returns
After Zumama won during the most recent Mahuizzotia ceremony, the High Priest helped her in the robot's maintanence. The two had a conversation on how Acahualla will enter the new age of machines as well as having a new clothes for her as the next Great Chief. At the same time, he installed the stolen engine from Rhodes Island's aircraft into the Big Ugly.[1]
When Gavial arrived at Zumama's village, Zumama challanged her that only by defeating her can the rest get back the engine. As the pilot of the Big Ugly, the High Priest was very impressive of his modification. However, during the battle, the Big Ugly suddenly went out of control because of the engine. It almost blew away the High Priest had not he managed to stabalize himself. Without any choice, the gang had to fight against the rampaging robot while the High Priest was trying to figure out how to stop it.[2]
After taking down the Big Ugly, Zumama and the High Priest met Lancet-2 and the two were in awe at its design and technology. The High Priest decided to follow Zumama, but the locals were sad of the departure of their Great Chief. Trying to calm them down, he told them about the origin of the Great Chief. He also reaffirmed that Acahualla will continue to thirve even without the Great Chief and its past tradition.[3]
