Biegler
Biegler is an NPC in Arknights. He is a supporting character in Lingering Echoes and Zwillingstürme im Herbst.
Background
While appearing as the owner of an ordinary coffee shop in the Afterglow District of Vyseheim, Biegler is actually an intelligence officer and secret agent at the service of the Twin Empresses. He also has a knowledge on the district's layout and its sewers.
Story
Lingering Echoes
Biegler followed Ebenholz ever since his arrival in Vyseheim. He approached Hibiscus when she arrived in the Afterglow District in his coffee shop barista disguise. When she questioned him about the strange happenings in the district, he lied and said he did not know anything.[1] He later appeared without his disguise before Ebenholz when the latter was about to pursue a rumour-monger into the Afterglow's sewers. He accompanied Ebenholz into the sewers, and found the rumour-monger stirring up large amounts of Originium Slugs, who turned out to be Lachmann.[2] While fleeing from the slugs, the two discovered a secret room holding various research materials regarding the 'Voice of Terra'. Biegler took the materials and parted ways with Ebenholz after returning to the surface.[3] He also appeared when Ebenholz called out to him during the confrontation with Gertrude Strollo on the day before Czerny's farewell concert. Biegler arrested Gertrude under suspicion of treachery to the Twin Empresses after Ebenholz managed to convince him that Gertrude was indeed dangerous. He kept a close watch on Gertrude until the day of the concert, whereupon she revealed her plans to murder the entire Afterglow District to him.[4] Luckily, Kreide's heroic sacrifice prevented Gertrude's plans from coming to fruition. Biegler later killed Gertrude before writing his report on her death and its preceding events.[5]
