Red is an NPC in Arknights. He is the deuteragonist of A Light Spark in Darkness, and a supporting character in Act II of the Main Theme.

Background

Red is an Infected Reunion warrior hailing from Ursus who was once a former soldier in the Ursus army, being nicknamed "Redblade" from his weapon's preference. He also carries recon missions, taking care of whatever issues the local infected communities might have, even disgusing as a local factory worker in Caladon.

Despite his calm, taciturn attitude, he's also a skillful warrior who won't hesitate to unsheathe his katana when in combat. He's also a good friend of Goldenglow.

• Red is likely introduced as an official recognition to the popularity of the Hateful Avenger in the Arknights community.
• His nickname, "Redblade," originates from the community nickname for the Hateful Avenger in the CN server, "Redblade brother (CN: 红刀哥)."
• Because of his closeness, care, and association with Goldenglow in their storylines, despite being members of opposing factions, the two are often paired by the community, romantically and otherwise. Nevertheless, Namie, Goldenglow's artist, has been trying to tone down unrelated relationship by stating that the two of them are just mere friends.
