Skywalking Global League (SGL) is an unofficial Arknights competitive event, noteworthy for being the first-ever Arknights tournament to be contested by players from all five of the game's official servers. It is jointly organized by five groups, representing each server:

• Babel Progressors from mainland China (CN), who is also the head organizer;
• Lungmen Dragons from Global (EN),
• Projekt Fuji from Japan (JP),
• Team Keo from Korea (KR), and
• Ae?gir Organizing Committee from Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau (TW).

The tournament will be played entirely through the game mode Integrated Strategies #3: Mizuki & Caerula Arbor on maximum difficulty — Surging Waves +15. Each server sent four representatives in the main event, for a total of twenty players. These representatives were decided through a qualifying phase held on each server during April 2024, with the exception of JP, which instead used the final results of Projekt Fuji's "Far East Cup" (極東杯), a pre-Expansion 2 Integrated Strategies #3 tournament held on late August 2023.

The qualifiers for Global server ran from April 17 to April 29, 2024, while the main event is scheduled for May 17 until May 29, 2024.

The subject of this article is officially named Skywalking Global League #1. This particular name implies that future editions may be held, and considers this tournament to be the successor of Babel Progressors' "Skywalking League #0" (通天联赛#0), a CN-only tournament played through Integrated Strategies 4: Expeditioner's Joklumarkar on maximum difficulty and held during August–September 2023.

Qualifying Stage (Global)

The following section pertains to Global server only; other servers implemented different scoring and qualifying system.

Rules

All valid runs must play on Surging Waves +15 and achieve the Stella Caerula ending.

• Due to resource constraints, Lungmen Dragons will NOT hold live-streamed qualifiers.
• Instead, you must record the entire run by yourself (can be split into two or more videos), upload the raw recordings as Unlisted videos on YouTube, and submit the YouTube links to this Google Forms link provided by the organizer.
• All runs must be from Global (EN) accounts and play in Global, which is easily identified by the use of English language.
• If a player was discovered to have participated in another server's SGL qualifier, their Global server entry will be disqualified.
• If a player was detected to have cheated (e.g. used illegal mods, artificial speed, video cuts, etc.), they will be disqualified.

Four players from the Global server will qualify for the main event:

• Top 3 with the highest scores advance.
• A fourth special spot is reserved for judges' choice, whether it be using unconventional operators, creative strategies, or exceptionally "clean" gameplay.

Scoring

The final score for each player will be calculated using:

• (Result Screen Score × Squad Multiplier) + Emergency Operation Bonuses + Boss Bonuses = Final Score

• Boss Bonuses:
  • Enter "Fate's Favored Child": +100
  • Defeat The Last Knight: +200 (+230 if "Fate's Favored Child" is cleared without losing Life Points)
  • Clear Curse of Cognition and Glory of Humanity without losing Life Points: +20 each

Ban List

To ensure fair competition, all players CANNOT use Operators and Operator Modules that have NOT been introduced at the TW server.

For the sake of inclusiveness, this ban list will include all Operators and Modules introduced from Hortus de Escapismo to CN's 5th Anniversary Celebration, the latest event at the CN server as of May 17, 2014.

• Executor the Ex Foedere, Insider, and Spuria are banned during qualifiers, but are ALLOWED on group and knockout stage because Hortus de Escapismo had already been running at the TW server on May 17, 2024.

Each server has different scoring systems, and do NOT necessarily reflect the scoring system of the main event.
Player avatars will display first the profile of their Content Creator account, then the profile of their Discord or other social media account, and lastly the Operator icon according to their respective server's announcement of winners.

All qualified players were officially announced by Babel Progressors on May 08.

Group Stage

Rules

Format

• All qualified players are divided into 2 groups
• Each group has 10 players, consisting of 2 players from each server
• Players will be ranked by their total score after the group stage ends.
• 1st-4th from each group advance to Knockout Stage.

Gameplay

• Players CANNOT use Operators and Operator Modules that have NOT been introduced at the TW server as of May 17, 2024 (see #Ban List for details). If a player enters two Operations with a banned Operator or Module in their squad, their total score will be forced to ZERO.
  • All operators and modules introduced on Hortus de Escapismo, which were previously banned in the qualifiers, can now be used from this stage onward.
  • Players CANNOT use the Medic Recruitment Voucher to recruit or promote Amiya regardless of her current Class. An Amiya who was recruited or promoted this way is considered a banned operator.
• At any point until the third Node of 3F, players have the opportunity to restart their run once. Switching account, server, squad, or starting operators may be done after restarting, and their total score will be calculated according to their second run.
  • Players CANNOT start their first run with "First-Class Squad" or "As Your Heart Desires", nor choose the bonus option that gives a Collectible — "Reclaim Loot" (costs 1 Hope and Max Hope) or "Purchase a Collectible" (costs all ingots). All of these options may be chosen only after the player restarts.
• In the Encounter "The Beginning", players must choose the option "Caerula"?!, which obtains the collectible Caerula Memory.
• If a player fails an Operation due to reasons beyond their control, they CANNOT restart their run.
• If a player disconnects for whatever reason, their run will immediately end after calculating the current score.
• Players detected to have cheated or have displayed sensitive content (e.g. sexually explicit or political) will be disqualified and permanently banned from participating in future tournaments.
• Using End of Times is allowed, but skipping an Operation with it will NOT give bonus points.
• Total score is calculated using: (Result Screen Score × Squad Multiplier) + All Operation Bonuses + Boss Bonuses + Special Bonuses = Final Score

Knockout Stage

Rules

Format

• The 8 surviving players will play a single-elimination bracket over 3 rounds to determine the Skywalking Global League #1 champion.
• Matches are 1 vs 1:
• Each player alternates streaming their runs in the following order:
  • Play until they reached the last node of 4F ---> Play until their run is completed.
  • The player with the lower score in the group stage plays first.
  • Thus, each match will be split into four parts: Lower seed pre-5F -> Higher seed pre-5F -> Lower seed 5F and beyond -> Higher seed 5F and beyond
• After both players completed their runs, the player with the higher total score wins the match, while the loser is eliminated.
• Quarter-final draw is: A1 vs B4, B2 vs A3, B1 vs A4, A2 vs B3.
• Third place will be awarded to the semi-final loser who finished with a higher total score in their last match. This is relevant because third place will receive a substantially greater prize, while fourth place will only receive the same prize as the quarter-final losers.

Gameplay

• Scoring rules are the same as group stage.
• The following changes will be applied for the knockouts:
  • Players may restart once up until the node right before the Dreadful Foe of 3F.
  • The disqualification threshold for entering an Operation with a banned operator or module is lowered to just one.
