Izumik, Source of Ecology is a boss enemy in the Integrated Strategies game mode of Arknights. He is one of the possible final bosses of Mizuki & Caerula Arbor since its Expansion II.

Story

Overview

Guide and pioneer of we many. Absorbing Offspring increases its HP and ATK. After losing a certain percentage of HP, inflicts Stun and deals Arts damage to allies.

Befitting Him being a fusion of Mizuki and Caerula Arbor (no pun intended), Izumik the Source of Ecology boasts humongous HP and DEF along with significant ATK and RES, allowing Him to shrug off all but the strongest of Physical and Arts attacks while causing destructive ranged damage in return. However, Izumik spends most of His time in a relatively passive state summoning minions, only retaliating or taking direct action once certain conditions have been fulfilled.

Learning Stage
  • Has 40% HP.
  • Invulnerable, cannot be blocked, and does not attack.
  • Continuously spawn Izumik's Offsprings in ever-increasing numbers, which are excluded from the enemy counter; for the intervals, see the Enemy section of of Glory of Humanity.
  • Absorbs Izumik's Offsprings that comes in contact with Izumik.
Innate
Spawns Izumik's Offsprings at preset locations on the map, which are excluded from the enemy counter.
Only used in the Learning Stage.

Every time 4 Izumik's Offsprings are absorbed, restores 15% HP, increases ATK by 40% (stacks additively up to 4 times), and unleashes a shockwave that deals Arts damage equal to Izumik's ATK to all friendly units on the map.
Only used in the Learning Stage.
Conditional
Interpretation Stage
Enters the Interpretation Stage 15 seconds after having full HP or manually spawning Izumik's Offsprings 4 times (after ~363 seconds), where attacks deal a second instance of Arts damage.
Innate
Unleashes a shockwave that Stuns all friendly units on the map for 8 seconds and inflicts them with a debuff that deals Arts damage equal to 12% of Izumik's ATK every second for the duration, which does not stack but will be refreshed if the affected unit is hit by the shockwave again.
  • Izumik will unleash the shockwave immediately after losing 25% of His maximum HP, even if it is on cooldown.
  • Unusually, camouflaged units are unaffected by the shockwave.

Be wary that Izumik will deduct no less than 30 Life Points upon entering a Protection Objective!

Trivia

  • "Izumik" is an anagram of "Mizuki" and are likely derived from izumi (泉), "fountain" in Japanese, which is possibly a nod to His epithet as the "Source (i.e. "fountainhead" or "fount") of Ecology".
    • Mizuki's gamertag on Barrage Fortress, "IZUMIKun~~", is suspiciously similar with His name. The Childhood's End Memory Selection implies that Mizuki arbitrarily named his alternate timeline Firstborn self after his gamertag, after communicating with Him through non-linear time.
  • Even though Mizuki had assimilated with Caerula Arbor to resurrect the latter as Izumik, the former can actually be used on Glory of Humanity where Izumik is fought.
