No matter where they go, the troubadours who cross the barrens to entertain others will always be surrounded by graceful, flickering flames and deafening cheers.
The Wandering Troubadour is the leader of a criminal ring that operates in Szubat-Arsalan, Sargon under the guise of traveling jesters. Their modus operandi is to distract the victims by having the Troubadour and his protégés perform fire dances in front of the masses, allowing the others to steal the onlookers' valuables right under their noses.
When the Doctor and Tuye helps Pepe in search for the "treasure" in Arsalan, they run into the Troubadour's gang and caught them in the act, prompting them to flee to their base deep in the Forbidden Tsalimashtu area. The Rhodes Island Operators give chase and managed to beat up the Troubadour, who lets slip of the Treasure Hunter's whereabouts before fleeing.
The Doctor and co. runs into the Troubadour again after they rescued the Treasure Hunter, who at first going to lock them up but instead makes a deal with them where he will let the Treasure Hunter go in exchange from gemstones extracted from a pairof gembeasts living nearby. The Doctor and co. managed to extract the gemstones and give them to the Troubadour, who allows them to leave together with the Treasure Hunter. As the Troubadour and one of his lackeys take a glance on the gemstones, unbeknownst to them, Manticore had already been present in front of them thanks to her camouflaging powers and shatters the gemstones, leaving the Troubadour dejected as a payback from R.I.
