Matteo acts as the main boss of Operation Lucent Arrowhead under the name Captain Matteo.

Enemy description
Captain Matteo of the Coalition Government. He doesn't want to admit that he's at the end of his rope, and he uses violence against everyone who reminds him of that.

Overview

Matteo threatens with high HP along with decently high defenses, and although his ATK is initially somewhat low, he makes up for it with a variety of offensive tools that can put the pressure on Operators while coordinating his troops to assist him.

  • When not blocked, Matteo will use a Straight Strike in which he fires 10 consecutive shots from his crossbow, with each shot dealing Physical damage equal to his ATK and the last one permanently reduces the target's DEF by 100 (150 at Level 1) that can stack without a limit. The Straight Strike has a cooldown of 8 seconds and Matteo is immune to Stun and Sleep while carrying it out.
  • When blocked, Matteo uses a melee attack with 2.5× his ATK.
  • When his HP is reduced to 0 for the first time, Matteo will survive and revive himself by fully restoring his HP over 3 seconds, during which he is invulnerable and disabled. After reviving, Matteo will leave the map via an escape rope and reappear at a designated tile on the map if he has not reached it already, before entering his second phase and gaining the following properties.
    • Loses the ability to perform Straight Strikes.
    • ATK increased by 150% and attack interval increased by 1 second.
    • Reduces incoming Physical and Arts damage by 40% when not blocked.
    • "Lights Out!": When taking damage, Matteo throws out three smoke bombs 1, 3, and 5 tiles ahead of him, with each creating a smokescreen over a radius of 1.3 tiles that renders enemies inside invisible and lingers for 30 seconds. Matteo can only use "Lights Out!" once at first, and he is immune to Stun and Sleep while using it.
    • "Take a Break!": Matteo's attacks Stun the target for 6 seconds, but he can only use this 6 times at first, indicated by a purple counter beneath his health bar.
    • "Gather Up!": Matteo orders all Matteo's Bodyguards present on the map to head towards his current location, ignoring checkpoints in their path, and stays there for 30 seconds. "Gather Up!" will be used 10 seconds after Matteo enters the second phase and every 25 seconds after.
