The "Hatred Without Root" is a boss enemy in the Stationary Security Service game mode of Arknights. It is the main boss of Tower Mountains Agricultural Experimental Platform.

Enemy description

An airborne command center for agricultural drones. Long has it tended the crops in the field, even treating them as its own, but it is nevertheless lonely because of its rootless wandering. Malware has turned its loneliness into hatred for all who dwell on the ground.

Overview

Once a "mothership" of drones used in Tower Mountains Biotech's agricultural experiment platform that grows sympathetic with the plants it helped to nurture but overwhelmed by solitude because it can never be one with them, this drone's A.I. was corrupted by malware installed by the pro-organic food activists occupying the platform, amplifying its loneliness so much to the point it ended up harboring a deep resentment towards all on land, including the plants it once tended to. The "Hatred Without Root" boasts very high HP and RES along with decent defenses, and although unable to attack directly, it instead focuses on supporting its fellow Drones with its abilities:

• The Hatred becomes invisible if there is at least one Drone within 2 tiles of itself.
• Every time the Danger Level rises, the Hatred spawns two Monsters Mk II, Arts Masters A1, and Cheering Sponsor Drones on the spot in an infinite loop which follows its path.
• Spread Malice: Spawns three Seeding Drones that follows the Hatred's path and, for the next 20 seconds, increases the HP and ATK of all Drones within a radius of 2 tiles around it by 45% and 30%, respectively. If no Seeding Drones are within Spread Malice's area-of-effect by the time it expires, the Hatred will be immobilized for 15 seconds, during which it will also be inflicted with 25% Fragile. Sowing Resentment will be used 22 seconds after the Hatred spawns and every 45 seconds after.
