This article is about the boss enemy titled "Signore dei Lupi". For the song part of Il Siracusano OST, see Signore dei Lupi.

Zaaro acts as the main boss of Il Siracusano under the name Zaaro, "Signore dei Lupi".

Enemy description
Il Signore dei Lupi was born in the wilderness, but he has cast his gaze upon the world of men. His hubris is boundless, yet he falls short. His tricks exhausted, he has lost everything. Now, someone must be made to bear his wrath.

Overview

Zaaro boasts good HP and ATK along with significant defenses, making the malevolent Signore dei Lupi a tough foe to deal with. In addition, Zaaro possesses multiple abilities that can potentially cause the Blood Ledger to keep entering Asset Liquidation (and constantly summoning Famiglia (Silent) Cleaners) as well as debilitating Operators.

  • While Zaaro is present, the automatic Blood Debt generation rate is increased by 1 per second.
  • Has a 30% Physical and Arts damage reduction, and immune to Stun.
  • Hemolytic Horror: Applies a permanent "Fear" debuff to up to three most recently deployed friendly units and/or Siracusan Civilians (prioritizing the latter), which causes them to lose an increasing amount of HP proportional to their maximum HP every second (starting at 0 and increasing by 0.75% of the target's max. HP every second, capping at 30%/sec. after 40 seconds), reduces their ASPD by 70, and renders them unable to be manually retreated (the latter two is only relevant for friendly units). When Zaaro loses 20% of his max HP after using Hemolytic Horror or uses Primal Deterrence (see below), all active Fear will be cleared. Hemolytic Horror has a cooldown of 55 seconds but Zaaro cannot use it if there are Feared units on the map nor within 7 seconds after the last Feared unit leaves the map. Whenever a Feared unit leaves the map however, Hemolytic Horror's cooldown will be shortened by 5 seconds.
  • Primal Deterrence: When Zaaro's HP reaches 0 for the first time, he will survive and revive himself by fully restoring his HP over 40 seconds, during which he is invulnerable and disabled. In addition, Zaaro has an aura that reduces the ASPD of friendly units in a radius of 1.5 tiles around him by 50 from this point.
  • Once revived through Primal Deterrence (see above), Zaaro enters his second phase, signified by him assuming a bipedal stance and having glowing eyes, with the following properties:
    • Invulnerable for 10 seconds.
    • Loses Hemolytic Horror, the damage reduction, and Stun immunity.
    • ATK increased by 50%.
    • Attacks by swiping the target with his front legs from a short distance, dealing two consecutive hits with an attack interval of 2.5 seconds and a range of 1.25 tiles (and by extension, does not move when continuously attacking); the attack is now considered as ranged, allowing Zaaro to attack targets in both melee and ranged tiles.
    • Furious Howl: Howls for 5.5 seconds, increasing Blood Debt by 35 every second. Furious Howl has a cooldown of 5 seconds after Zaaro enters the second phase and every 40 seconds after, but he will only use it outside Asset Liquidations.

It is worth noting that Zaaro will deduct 3 Life Points in the event he manages to enter a Protection Objective, so he must be defeated or the operation will end with an instant mission failure!
