This event has been released in the Global server of Arknights and its relevant stories and operations are now available in the Archives and Terminal, respectively. As such, the content of this page and the related subpages have been archived.
Il Siracusano, officially stylized as IL Siracusano (IS – not to be confused with Integrated Strategies), is the eighteenth Side Story and fourth Celebration event in Arknights.
The sixth Celebration limited headhunting banner, Through a Path of Briars, is featured.
Through a Path of Briars also adds Nearl the Radiant Knight into the Celebration limited Operators' pool and removes W from the secondary rate-up Celebration limited Operators.
Every day, the player can perform one headhunting pull for free at the Through a Path of Briars banner. These free pulls do not transfer over to the next day, so they must be used before the daily reset.
Notes
Texas the Omertosa will be added into the Celebration limited Operators' pool on Zwillingstürme im Herbst.
This is the last time Alternate Operator Missions are added to both the original and alternate Operators; all future alternate Operators and their originals will no longer have Alternate Operator Missions!
Note that all current tags will be refreshed once the recruitment pool are updated.
Volsinii map
Like in Stultifera Navis, Il Siracusano uses a more elaborate map of Volsinii with back-and-forth in areas. Similar to Environment modes in the Main Theme, the map also has a function to filter out Stagione Delle Piogge, Pistole e Ordine, and Terra Desolata Autoproclamata operations as well as stories/interludes (labeled as Lupo Prodigo, Italian for "Prodigal Wolf").
A menu filled with the names of exquisite dishes, all of which are brought out to the table by the chef himself. The most prestigious chef is an elderly gentleman deaf in both ears, yet no up-and-coming young chef is willing to compete for the spot.

Miscellaneous
The Celebration Home Screen background will be unlocked for players who logged into the game from May 23, 2023 to June 20, 2023 if not already.
From May 23, 2023 to June 6, 2023, the player can sign in a contract with one of the Columbian companies participating in the Nulaiteburg Industrial Cooperation Forum. Upon signing the contract, the player will receive Orundum at varying amounts depending on the contract's result, the basic results are:

At later days of the event, the rewarded Orundum's values will change due to the changes in the industrial situation. See the table below for further information.
The contract result will only be shown after the contract is signed.
There is a chance that the player makes a deal with all companies involved in same industry, which merits "Special Development Funds" worth an additional 500 .
The player can change their negotiation strategy to increase the probability of reaching a specific reward. See below for further information.
The player cannot sign additional contracts on the next day if they didn't, so the contract must be signed before the daily reset.

The title is a direct reference to the Italian movie The Sicilian.
Il Siracusano is the first event to have a non-English title.
Interestingly, the event is subtitled "Siracusan" in promotional images, but it is officially referred to by its title.
The teaser poster for Il Siracusano prior to the CN's 3.5 Anniversary livestream bears resemblances with Hands over the City.
For unknown reasons, the Global server releases Il Siracusano in late May 2023 instead of late April or early May as with Near Light and future Thank-You Celebration events.
Although unlikely to be the cause, some players in the Arknights Global community believed that this is due to issues with merchandise production and distribution suffered by Yostar in the lead-up to IS' release.
The commemorative videos of Il Siracusano in Global (see Media) has the following distinctions:
It is the first video by ARCUS that is not a music video.
It is the very first Arknights Global video featuring English and Korean voiceovers for the EN and KR version, respectively.
With the release of Lo Scontro, Il Siracusano is the event with the most promotional videos.
