The rerun of A Walk in the Dust is identical to the original run, but with the following differences:

WD operation progresses are carried over from the original run (e.g. if the player have cleared WD-8 in the original run, then it will already be cleared on the rerun), but The Endless Road operations are accessible from the start of the event.
The Song of Dust missions' progresses are reset but awards more Scattered Sketch with the requirement for operation clear missions reduced (see below).
The Reefsteep Black Market is reset and contains less items with some items being changed, but the price of Critical Response Team Office furniture parts are reduced (see below).
Players who had obtained Critical Response Team Office furniture parts and Plaque - Needles from Song of Dust missions during the original run will receive Intelligence Certificate in their place.
Certain Path to Glory WD medals now have a different requirement to be unlocked; players who had met the condition during the original run will immediately obtain/trim the medal at the start of the rerun, if they have not yet.
Once the rerun ends, WD medals will no longer be obtainable, making it the last chance for players who haven't obtained them in the original run to do so.
