Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow is the twentieth Side Story and fourth Festival event in Arknights.

Headhunting

The fourth Festival limited headhunting banner, Solitude Universal, is featured.

Winds of Millennia Unyielding Headhunting Permit can be claimed while the Solitude Universal banner is up. - Every day, the player can perform one headhunting pull for free at the Solitude Universal banner. These free pulls do not transfer over to the next day, so they must be used before the daily reset.

Rhodes Island Headhunting Pack

Once purchased, the player can choose one of the three Headhunting Permits listed below. All three act as a 
Ten-roll Headhunting Permit with one exception; a 6★ Operator is guaranteed to appear on any of the 10 pulls with it, selected at random from the available possibilities:

- Pulls from all three Headhunting Permits listed above are not counted towards the pity system for other banners and getting a 6★ Operator from them will not reset the pull count, so using them will not compromise the player's pity on other banners.
- The Rhodes Island Headhunting Pack can only be purchased once per account and the chosen Headhunting Permit will expire on September 15, 2023 if not used up until then.

Lungmen Lucky Strips
During the event, the player will be able to pick two out of ten Lungmen Lucky Strips every day, which gives 
Orundum with the highest among the picked Lucky Strips being the reward (e.g. if the first Lucky Strip gives 400 
and the second gives 800 , then the player will receive the latter).
- The possible Orundum values in each Lucky Strip are 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, and 800.
- If the player receives less than 400 from the Lucky Strips, they will be able to pick a third Lucky Strip in the next day.
- All unused Lucky Strip picks do not stack, so they must be used before the daily reset.

- The title of this event is based on two Chinese poems:
- The Chinese title (Hanzi: 登临意; Pinyin: dēng lín yì) is quoted from the a verse of Xin Qiji's poem, The Water Dragon’s Chant: Climbing The Shangxin Arbour in Jiankang City (Hanzi:《水龙吟·登建康赏心亭》). Its meaning is a kind of abstract, serene mood when one climbs up the mountain or achieves higher thoughts through nature's inspiration.
- The English title is quoted from the famous line from Songs of Liangzhou (Hanzi: 《凉州词》) by the Tang poet Wang Zhihuan: "The vernal winds will never blow beyond the Yumen Pass (Hanzi: 春风不度玉门关)."
- With 34 characters and 6 words, the English title is the third longest of all events in Arknights, below Come Catastrophes or Wakes of Vultures and Adventure That Cannot Wait for the Sun.
- Interestingly, the word "Vernal" is obscured in the CN server's promotional images (on top-left corner of "V" and right-bottom corner of smaller "L" in the PV), causing some to mistook the name as Where Winds Will Never Blow until the full name is revealed in CN's Chinese New Year livestream introducing "Ya".
- The title logo is written in the cursive script.
