Enemy description
The leader of the Liches, one of the supreme judges of civil disputes in Kazdel, an old teacher. What you have done in the furnace is not permitted by him and is highly dangerous, and his interference is purely for your own good.

Overview

Fremont lives up to his status as both the incumbent Lich King and the Witch King's mentor with towering survivability (particularly an extremely high RES), powerful Arts attacks, and several abilities that allow him to deliver decisive blows and gradually wear down defenses through attrition.

  • Improvised Self-Defense: If no targets are in range, Fremont can store his attacks in the form of charges (similar to a Mystic Caster), visible as orbs of light hovering around him, up to 3 times; Fremont takes 30% less Physical and Arts damage for each charge currently stored, stacking additively. If Fremont has charges, his next attack will consume all of his charges to fire the equivalent number of attacks simultaneously.
  • "Black Coffin of Exile": If a friendly unit leaves the map while Fremont is present, they will be sealed within the namesake coffin, which will pause their redeployment time until it is destroyed.
    • The Black Coffin of Exile has 8000 HP, 500 DEF, 50 RES, and an aggression level of 1.
  • When Fremont's HP is reduced to 0 for the first time, he will survive and revive himself by fully restoring his HP over 11.6 seconds, during which he is invulnerable and disabled. Afterwards, Fremont enters the second phase with the following properties:
    • Attacks now inflict Necrosis Damage equal to 10% of his ATK.
    • Punishment of Foolishness: Immediately after reviving, Fremont will charge up for 5 seconds before forcibly relocating all Operators to randomized positions, exactly like what his protégé did in Zwillingstürme im Herbst. Fremont is intangible and does not attack while channeling Punishment of Foolishness.
  • When Fremont's HP is reduced to 0 for the second time and the player's Thoughts have not exceeded the Burden Threshold, he will be defeated. Otherwise, Fremont will instead enter a third phase where he instantly knocks out and seals the last deployed Operator in a Black Coffin of Exile over 2.6 seconds, before reviving himself again by restoring 20% HP over the next 10 seconds. Once he revives, Fremont will additionally destroy all Black Coffins of Exile on the map, restoring 10% HP for every Coffin destroyed.

Fremont will deduct no less than 30 Life Points if he manages to enter a Protection Objective, which will cause the player to instantly fail the run unless they have at least 31 Life Points.png when this happens!
