  • [As Needlework] When the Blight level of a paddy at this unit's location exceeds a certain threshold, "Slumbering of Sui" will continuously absorb and condense Blight into a spear that deals a large amount of Arts damage, prioritizing marked Operators
  • "Slumbering of Sui" has reduced DEF, RES, and Movement Speed when it is on paddies unaffected by Blight, or when scoured with unpolluted water.

The "Slumbering of Sui" is a boss enemy in Arknights. It is the main boss of Here A People Sows.

Enemy description
Born from the heart of an awakened Feranmut. A thousand years twisted into shadow. The executors of Sui are never alone, for fear is always by their side; to wait in the boundless chaos, or thread the needle in search for a shred of enlightenment?

Overview[edit]

A faceless yet ferocious giant Fabrication made by Ji representing the wrath of Sui, the Slumbering of Sui initially proves to be a terrifying foe with enormously high stats in every regard, making it extremely difficult to take in a straight battle. However, the Slumbering also has multiple vulnerabilities that allow Operators to lower its combat capabilities to a more reasonable level, yet its abilities designed to exploit and spread Blight across Farmlands can make things complicated.

Uses a melee attack. Chaos traits

Molts whenever taking 3 (Lv0)/4 (Lv1 and Lv2) instances of damage, reducing ATK, DEF, and RES by 30, 50 (Lv0 and Lv1)/40 (Lv2), and 1, respectively, but increasing MSPD by 0.01 and the Blight of a nearby random Farmland within a radius of 1 by 4; every 10 molts also reduces the Slumbering's weight by 1.
Only used in the Chaos form and can no longer be used after the 80th use.

Passive

Revives over 40 seconds when defeated in the Chaos form, during which the Slumbering spawns additional enemies on the spot that are not included to the enemy counter as follows, and enters the Enlightened form.

Enlightened
  • Invulnerable for 5 seconds.
  • Immune to Stun, Sleep, Freeze, Bind, and Levitate.
  • ATK, DEF, and RES reduced by 60%, 70%, and 30, respectively.
  • MSPD increased by 200%.
  • Now uses a ranged attack with a range of 1 and hits twice.
Enlightened traits

While on a Farmland with 0 Blight or in the range of a Pumping Station pumping clean water, reduces DEF and RES by 20% (Lv0 and Lv2)/15% (Lv1) and 30, respectively, and the MSPD buff is removed.
Only used in the Enlightened form.

Passive

Friendly units that damages the Slumbering are marked by a red aura and will increase the Blight of the Farmland they are on by 50 when leaving the map.
Only used in the Enlightened form.

Passive

As Needlework
Drains 20 Blight every second from the Farmland for 5 seconds, then condenses the drained Blight into a red spear and throws it onto a friendly unit (prioritizing marked ones), dealing Arts damage equal to 250% (Lv0 and Lv1)/375% (Lv 2) ATK upon impact.
  • If the Slumbering creates a spear but no longer has a valid target, it can hold on to the spear and instantly launch it when a target appears.
Only used in the Enlightened form if the Farmland the Slumbering is on has 100 Blight.

Trivia[edit]

  • In the Chaos form, the Slumbering of Sui resembles the Hundun, one of the Four Perils in Chinese mythology. In fact, hundun can be translated as "chaos" in English.
