Ammunition is a skill and enemy mechanic in Arknights.

Skill

Skill activation grants {amount} ammo and the skill ends when all ammo are used (Can manually deactivate skill).

Skills that use the ammunition mechanic does not end after a period of time. Instead, as soon as the skill is activated, it receives a number of ammo that is expended in each attack; the skill will only end once all ammo is depleted and can also be manually deactivated in order to expedite its reactivation.

From the Near Light update, skills that use the ammunition mechanic uses a special meter that displays its ammo count more accurately as orange bars; before this, the skill's meter is the same as the others.

Damnatus Ex Foedere
Further increases the ATK buff whenever the Ex Foedere expends ammo, which can stack up to 30 times.

The Chosen One For each ammo expended, the proc chance of The Chosen One is increased, which is reset when the Ex Foedere's skill expires.

Empathy by Shotgun Each Laterano Operator on the map increases the Ex Foedere's ammo count by 1, up to 4.
Fire Support Increases the ammo count of Insider's skill after he has been deployed for 20 seconds. At Elite 2, Fire Support also increases the ammo count of other Laterano Operators' skills (if they use the ammunition mechanic) by 1.

Certain enemies, nearly all of which are Lateran ones, use the ammunition mechanic where their ranged attacks have additional effects as long as their ammo supply holds out, which can only be reloaded by being in the vicinity of a hostile Gelato Stop although some are capable of reloading their ammo without Stops.[note 1]

Enemy Ammo count Effects
1 The attack deals double damage and will be used even when the Sagittarius is blocked.
The attack inflicts Burn Damage equal to 150% of the Artifex's ATK.
2 The attack deals splash damage affecting friendly units in the surrounding tiles to the target and deals an additional instance of 3000 Arts damage against Gelato Stops, and will be used even when the Ballistarius is blocked.
3 Not used for attacks, but spawning a (Luscious) Snack Cart 5 seconds after spawning and every 15 seconds afterward.
1 The attack disarms the target for 15/10 (Oren) seconds and deals an additional instance of 3000 damage against Gelato Stops, and will be used even when the Nuncio/Oren is blocked.

  • The attack deals 1.5× damage, which increases to 5× against Gelato Stops, and ricochets between targets up to 5 times (towards Stops over friendly units).

  1. Technically enemies with the ammunition mechanic uses SP to count the remaining ammunition which can only be generated by Gelato Stops or their ability.
