The Planetary Debris is a hidden boss enemy in Arknights that provides the namesake operation mechanic introduced in Lone Trail.

Overview[edit]

Ability Initial CD Cooldown

  • Insignificant enemy.
  • Cannot be defeated; any damage that would reduce the Planetary Debris' HP to 0 will leave it with at least 1 HP.
  • Can neither be blocked, shifted normally, nor Slowed.
  • Reduces aggression level by 1.
  • Can only be targeted and attacked by friendly units in the adjacent 4 tiles.
  • All damage taken cannot reduce HP to below 100%.
  • Has 0/20 "charges", shown in place of the HP meter.
    • When attacked, gains 1 charge.
    • When shifted, gain 20 charges.
Innate

While not moving, the tile the Planetary Debris is on can neither be passed by enemies nor have friendly units deployed upon.
Passive

Once the Planetary Debris has 20 charges, it starts moving with +100% MSPD and becomes invulnerable; after the Debris stops moving, the amount of charges is reset to 0. Friendly units and enemies that collides with the Debris while it is moving takes 3000 Physical damage with enemies taking 210% damage and are pushed back with a force of 1; a single unit can only trigger the collision effect once every 2 seconds.
  • The Debris can only be moved through "rails" represented as tiles with yellow holographic stripes.
  • In CW-P-1 and CW-P-2, the collision damage is reduced to 40% on friendly units and increased to 320% on enemies.
  • Changing the Gravity will forcibly move the Debris toward the gravity's direction.

Star Ring[edit]

Kristen can turn the Planetary Debris into the Star Ring, which has a unique appearance and different traits as follows.

Ability Initial CD Cooldown

  • Insignificant enemy.
  • Cannot be defeated; any damage that would reduce the Star Ring's HP to 0 will leave it with at least 1 HP.
  • Can neither be blocked, shifted normally, nor Slowed.
  • Has +1 aggression level.
  • Unaffected by Gravity.
  • The tile the Star Ring is on can neither be passed by enemies nor have friendly units deployed upon.
  • Reverts into a Planetary Debris when HP reaches 0 or after being detonated by Kristen's Heat Death.?
Innate

When taking damage, reduces DEF and RES by 50 and 1, respectively.?
After 10 damage instances, the golden circle under the Star Ring shrinks; after 30 damage instances, the circle shrinks further; after 50 damage instances, the circle disappears.
Passive

Friendly units in the surrounding 8 tiles to the Star Ring's position have -25 ASPD.
Passive

While Kristen is on the map, deals 100% (Lv0)/120% (Lv1) ATK Arts damage to friendly units in the surrounding 8 tiles to the Star Ring's position every second.
In Kristen's Second Form, the damage is increased to 120% (Lv0)/140% (Lv1) ATK.
Passive

Explodes after 2 seconds when destroyed or detonated by Kristen's Heat Death, dealing 700% (Lv0)/900% (Lv1) ATK Arts damage equal to all friendly units on the map.
Only used from when Kristen triggers Heat Death in the First Form.
In Kristen's Second Form, the explosion also increases the MSPD of all enemies on the map by 10% (stacks).

"Crossroads" Prototype
Repulses Planetary Debris that are adjacent to them.

Kristen
  • Takes -70% damage from Planetary Debris' collision in the First Form.
  • Periodically turns the closest Planetary Debris into a Star Ring on the First Form (10/30 seconds cooldown).
  • Turns all Planetary Debris into Star Rings after entering the Second Form.

Additional information:
  • In CW-TR-1 to CW-5, the Planetary Debris is named Rock and only serves as an indicator of where the gravity is currently pointing at.
  • In CW-P-1 and CW-P-2, the Planetary Debris can be controlled by tapping on the rails.

Trivia[edit]

  • In CW-EX-8, the two Planetary Debris on the right side of the map will despawn after 999 seconds have passed.
    • When this happens, the "leak" sound as if an enemy had entered a Protection Objective will be played without causing Life Point losses.
    • Before an unspecified update, both Debris are included to the enemy counter (though excluded from the maximum count) despite being insignificant enemies, causing the enemy count to go past the maximum cap of 59 if only one enemy remains at this point.
