"Crossroads" Production Model
The "Crossroads" Production Model is an elite enemy in Arknights.
Overview
A battlefield deterrent UGV effective on open and narrow terrain alike, developed by Volvort Kochinski for the C.U.D.O.D., "Crossroads" Production Models have high HP and DEF, although their ATK and RES are severely lacking. To make up for their lacking ATK, Crossroads attack by continuously emitting laser to all four cardinal directions with a reach of ~1.2 tiles; the friendly unit that comes into contact with the laser takes Arts damage equal to half of its ATK every second, which becomes full if the friendly is within a distance of 0.7 tiles. In addition, the Crossroads also have sort of repulsors which will push away Planetary Debris it comes in contact with, allowing it to disrupt the player's strategies and cause havoc.
On the other hand, some Crossroads should be left alone at first, as they can helpfully keep certain Debris in place, preventing enemies from entering lanes that are very difficult to defend. And in CW-8, if the player manages to trap a Debris between two Crossroads standing still, it will be knocked back and forth continuously, creating a death zone to any other enemies daring to enter!
