The Focusing Soulshard is an elite enemy in Arknights.

Enemy description
Spiritual remnants born from the will of the Revenants, upon absorbing those wandering vortices, surges of raging emotion and witchcraft will burst forth together, piercing all enemies in front of and behind them.

Overview

Attacks deal Arts damage, and can collect and carry up to 3 Soul Vortices at a time. While carrying a Soul Vortex, all Soul Vortices will be consumed to deal continuous Arts damage to the target and allies units in a straight line.

A Revenant capable of absorbing the myriad souls of the Sarkaz and using them as fuel, Focusing Soulshards have decent all-around stats and a ranged Arts attack that lets them put up a good fight, but can also absorb up to 3 Soul Vortices to power a special attack, indicated by the number of lit-up diamonds on their bodies. When the Soulshard has "fuel", it will consume all held Soul Vortices to fire a continous beam at a target in the same row or column as itself that lasts for 7.8 seconds, dealing 40% of its ATK as Arts damage per second to all enemies in its path. The Soulshard's ATK will increase by 40% per second while a beam is firing and resets when the beam ends, with the increase having an upper limit of 25% multiplied by the number of Soul Vortices absorbed (ie. if the Soulshard absorbed 3 Vortices, it can gain up to +75% ATK). The laser will be used immediately after the Soulshard first absorbs up a Soul Vortex, and has a cooldown of 15 seconds afterwards.

Due to the extreme damage its laser is able to output, it is advised to prevent Soulshards from absorbing Soul Vortices to minimize their damage, or by deploying operators to bait out the laser beams before they can fire at high-priority units.
