The Hateful Avenger is an elite enemy in Arknights.
Enemy description
An unidentified combatant who attacks using unconventional methods, more dangerous than a normal Avenger. Equipped with a special weapon, they are known to change their attack patterns during combat, making them difficult to defend against. Proceed with caution.

Hateful Avengers are the upgraded version of Avengers with increased stats and enhanced abilities.

Trivia[edit]
- The Hateful Avenger has a decent fanbase in the Arknights community for the following reasons:
- Upon the release of Area 59 Ruins, they were known for Contracts which boosts their stats, especially ATK. This made the Hateful Avenger hard to deal with even using 6★ Operators before Surtr was released.
- Due to their gimmicks, rather cool outlook, and appearance in the animated PV of Contingency Contract Beta, the Hateful Avenger has become famous in the community, which even gives them nicknames such as the "Red Katana" (红刀哥) in CN or the "Red Weeb" in EN.
- Operation Blade has been jokingly used as the Hateful Avenger's theme, especially the line Yes, I'm on fire!
- As a matter of fact, the appearances of Red and "Hateful Avenger" are likely due to their popularity.
