Teary Detective

The Teary Detective is an elite enemy in the Stationary Security Service game mode of Arknights.

Enemy description
A low-profile Perro private detective. He takes on all kinds of investigations, never questioning his clients' identities and always sticking to the rules of the job. However, if he happens to get caught, he's not above trading valuable intel in exchange for his freedom.

Overview

A hardworking bestial Perro detective and the uncle of the Crying Thief[1] who will nonetheless do anything to save his own skin furs, the Teary Detective serves as a "bonus enemy" in which letting him into a Protection Objective will not result in a Life Point loss and defeating him awards the player with an EC Unit of the player's choice from a selection of three different EC Units (previously obtained EC Units can appear and be chosen again).

If the player chooses to fight the Teary Detective, he has high HP though with average ATK and defenses at best along with the following abilities that make it harder to defeat him in time:

  • Upon taking damage (unless if he is being Silenced at the moment), the Detective will receive the "Protection" buff that reduces the next Physical and Arts damage he took by 30% for 4 seconds. Up to three instances of Protection can be active on the Detective at a time and each is independent from one another (i.e. having their own damage reductions and durations, contrary to what the in-game description claims).
  • When blocked, the Detective dashes past the blocking friendly, like that of Crownslayer's blink ability, with a cooldown of 40 seconds from when he spawns.
