The R-31 Heavy Power Armor is an elite enemy in Arknights.

Enemy description

A model that appeared around half a year ago among some mercenary groups, its performance is on par with mass-produced military models from five years ago. Rhine Lab's Energy Section has cooperates with many parties, and continues to look for ever more opportunities.

Overview

A state-of-the-art, military-grade powered armor from Rhine Lab's R-series designed for close-quarters combat, R-31 Heavy Power Armors are literal powerhouses that boast extremely high HP, ATK, and DEF, allowing them to survive heavy firepower and deliver massive damage in return, although they are very slow to move and somewhat vulnerable to Arts damage. Their immense power is exacerbated by their Overload special attack where they target a friendly within 0.8 tiles and rapidly punch them once every second for 10 seconds, with each punch dealing Physical damage equal to 75% of their ATK and Stuns the target for 2 seconds, allowing the R-31 to knock out most melee Operators in their way while preventing them from fighting back. Overload will be used on the first attack and has a cooldown of 20 seconds afterwards, but can be disabled by Silencing the R-31.

In most operations where they appear, some R-31 Power Armors are initially on an inactive state; when an Experiment Product (Dor-1 Failure, Dor-2 Replica, and Dor-3 Bionic) comes into contact with it, the R-31 gains SP and will be activated once it has full SP or when the Awaken enters its second phase. As such, it is encouraged to destroy inactive R-31s before they can be activated or stop any Experiment Products from reaching them.
