Cost represents how much DP is needed to deploy Operators, summons, and deployable devices.

Operators have different costs depending on their class, branch, and rarity; generally, lower-rarity Operators cost lower DP than higher-rarity ones. Most Operators will have their cost reduced by 1 at Potentials 2 and 6 or at Potentials 2 and 5 for some; welfare Operators have their cost reduced by 1 at Potentals 2, 4, and 6 instead. All Operators have their cost increased by 2 (3 for certain branches) when promoted to Elite 1 as well as another 2 at Elite 2 for some.

An Operator's cost will be increased to 1.5× when they are redeployed for the first time and 2× when redeployed for the second time onwards, but will never be above 99; this is especially noticeable in Challenge Modes that increases the DP cost of certain Operators. Operators return DP equal to half of their current cost when retreated, rounded down, with the following exceptions:

Summons and deployable units' cost do not ramp up like Operators do, but will not be returned when they are retreated.

Reductions

  • Splash Casters' SPC-Y Module reduces their cost by 8.
  • April's talent Experienced Hunter reduces her cost by 1 at Elite 2.
  • Ash's second talent Breaching Specialist reduces her cost by 3 on her first deployment.
  • Catapult and Fang's talent Lightweight as well as Gravel's talent Fast Deployment/Support of the Little reduces their cost by 1.
  • Elysium's talent Sniper Support reduces the cost of Snipers by 1 (E1)/2 (E2) when he is deployed.
  • Saileach's second talent Spiritual Influence reduces the cost of the next (and only the next) deployed Operator by 2 in each of her deployment.
  • Wild Mane's talent Forward March reduces the cost of undeployed Guards by 1 when she is deployed for the first time. At Elite 2, Forward March applies whenever Wild Mane is deployed, but the undeployed Guards' cost can only be reduced by a maximum of 5 this way.
  • Zima's talent Spearheader reduces her cost by 1. At Elite 2, it applies to all Pioneer Vanguards including Zima herself so long as she is in the squad.
