Spined Shellbeast
- Retreats into its shell upon taking damage, reducing any further physical and Arts damage to 0. In this state, upon receiving damage from allied Operators, deals physical damage equal to 100% of their own ATK to the attacker. Will come out from its shell after taking no damage for a period of time
The Spined Shellbeast is an elite enemy in the Reclamation Algorithm game mode of Arknights.
Overview[edit]
A Terran animal resembling a cross between ceratopsids and meiolaniids, Spined Shellbeasts are rare Wild Beasts that boasts significant HP and yields
Cartilage Chunk. Although their other stats are average at best, their unique ability can make attempts to hunt them down a problematic affair.

It is recommended to either use sources of burst damage capable of shaving off large chunks of the Spined Shellbeast's HP in one strike or bypass the shell with True damage (Elemental Injury is not an option since they are based on the damage dealt, with an exception to Virtuosa's Wordless Elegy).
Appearances[edit]
- A Spined Shellbeast may appear in a random zone for a few days; this Shellbeast will actually head towards a Protection Objective within the zone it is encountered and moves into another adjacent zone if not defeated or captured.
- Since Expansion II, Spined Shellbeasts may appear in Domain of Valor, Misty Maze, and Shadow Thicket (all of which only appears in Feral Strange Territory), where they behave like the Wild Beasts in Hunting Zones would.
