The Emergency Heater is a static device in Arknights.

Emergency Heaters initially start in an "extinguished" state where it can be attacked by friendly units; when the Heater is attacked, it recovers 5 SP which increases to 30 if the attacker is within the area-of-effect of a lit Heater, but will lose 9 SP every second if not attacked in 1 second. Keep in mind that the Emergency Heater has an aggression level of 1, thus friendly units will attack the Heater over enemies under normal circumstances.

Once the Emergency Heater has full SP, either by attacking it enough or using a Flint on one, it will be "lit up" and friendly units in the surrounding tiles to it becomes immune to Cold and Freeze, while the Heater itself will no longer be attacked by friendlies and loses 9 SP every second, which can be stopped by deploying a friendly unit on the "damper" in the Heater's right side that also causes it to recover 30 SP every second instead; when the lit Heater's SP is depleted, it reverts into the extinguished state and friendly units must wait for 10 seconds before they can attack the Heater to light it up again, but this can be bypassed by using a Flint.

Emergency Heaters always appear in operations that feature the Frigid mechanic which permanently inflicts Cold to friendly units and intermittently Freezes them after they are deployed for some time, thus lighting up Heaters and deploying friendly units around them is a must to ensure that their offensive capabilities are unhindered, and having certain enemies in lit Heaters' area-of-effect also denies the advantages they had on Frigid areas.

  • Chastising Touch targets one Emergency Heater within range (two in Breakthrough Form) and extinguishes it by dropping a snowball on the Heater.
  • Upon being reduced to 0 HP in Counterpart Form, Emergency Heaters in a radius of 3 (2.5 at Level 1) around Harold will be instantly extinguished.
  • Vapor Rain unleashes one additional icicle for every unlit Emergency Heater on the map.
