The Emergency Heater is a static device in Arknights.

Emergency Heaters play an important role in RS operations, as all of them features the Frigid mechanic which permanently inflicts Cold to friendly units and intermittently Freezes them after they are deployed for some time, and deploying them in the surrounding tiles to a lit Heater will cause them to become immune to Cold/Freeze, even those inflicted by enemies. Lighting up the Heater can be done by attacking it at which it restores 5 SP or 30 if the attacker is within the area-of-effect of a lit Heater; friendly units will attack the Heater over enemies under normal circumstances due to its aggression level of 1, but will lose 9 SP every second if not attacked.

Once the Heater has full SP or by using a Flint on one, it will be lit and no longer attacked by friendlies, but loses 4 SP every second; if there is a friendly unit on the right side of the lit Heater, it will restore 10 SP every second, more-or-less allowing it to be lit indefinitely. Once the Heater's SP is depleted, it will be extinguished and the player must wait for 10 seconds afterward before they can lit up the Heater again, although it can still be instantly lit up with a Flint.

Harold Craigavon
  • Harold's ranged attack targets friendly units to the right of an Emergency Heater over the others.
  • For every unlit Emergency Heater on the map, Harold takes 35% less non-Elemental damage, stacking multiplicatively up to 4 times.
  • Chastising Touch targets one Emergency Heater within range (two in Breakthrough Form) and extinguishes it by dropping a snowball on the Heater.
  • Upon being reduced to 0 HP in Counterpart Form, Emergency Heaters in a radius of 3 tiles (2.5 tiles at Level 1) around Harold will be instantly extinguished.
  • Vapor Rain unleashes one additional icicle for every unlit Emergency Heater on the map.
