The Absorber is a deployable device in the Stationary Security Service game mode of Arknights.
An Absorber will be added to the Deployment Waiting Zone at periodic intervals as long as the Thirster is present. When an Absorber is deployed, it starts with only 1 HP and, unlike nearly all other devices, can be healed by friendly units; should the Absorber is fully healed, it will despawn and cause the Thirster to lose some of its defenses, giving friendly units an easier time taking it down, in addition to adding a Neuronal Revival into the Waiting Zone.
However, take caution that all friendly units on the map will take 15 True damage and 25 Nervous Impairment every second for every Absorber present, whether those in the Waiting Zone or on the map, unless if the Thirster has been defeated.
