"Smarty"

"Smarty" is a normal enemy in Arknights.

Enemy description
A strange Ink Spirit named by the painter herself. Seems to be alive. Very lively with its movements and likes to wander around. Not very commonly seen as it explodes if it touches any fellow Ink Spirits with opposite attributes.

Overview

Can only be blocked by units of the same attribute. Explodes upon being defeated, touching an opposite attribute ally will trigger a more violent explosion.

A (literally) fiery and jovial will-o'-wisp Ink Spirit, "Smarties" are very weak at first glance, having rather low HP and ATK, and no defenses whatsoever despite dealing Arts damage in melee, but they will explode upon being defeated, dealing Arts damage equal to 4× of the Smarty's ATK to friendly units in a radius of 1.25 tiles around it, in addition to being subject to the Hui and Ming mechanic where the Smarty is also unblockable except by friendly units whose attribute matches it and the explosion's damage is affected by the victims' attribute as well (4.4× opposing, 3.6× matching).

Should two Smarties with opposing attributes are in a radius of 1 tile to each other, they will immediately detonate in a much stronger explosion dealing Arts damage equal to 15×(!) of the Smarties' ATK which is affected by the victims' attribute as well (16.5× opposing, 13.5× matching) and having a larger radius of 2 tiles. As such, it is recommended to defeat Smarties separately or deploy units away from where Smarties with opposing attributes cross their paths, which is usually the case whenever they are featured.
