Basic Harvester

The Basic Harvester is an allied unit (technically classified as a normal enemy) in the Reclamation Algorithm game mode of Arknights.

Enemy description
Basic mechanical workers capable of gathering and transporting resources. Their capacity is not very large but they are industrious and diligent.

Overview

A UGV made by Sunvalley Industries to gather resources on the field with better efficiency than human workers — and partly because Sunvalley cannot risk sending their personnel into the hostile region of Ibut, Basic Harvesters are periodically spawned by Gathering Hubs and will automatically harvest resources (Thickets, Monoliths, and Strange Ore Veins) in the Hub's range[note 2] and returns to their home Hub to drop off the harvested resources once the Harvester's capacity is full.

Depending on the type of their home Gathering Hub, Basic Harvesters have different effectiveness and specializations:

  • Those based on Basic Gathering Hubs have low overall gathering rate and excels at harvesting Wood.png Wood from Thickets,[note 3] and can only carry one resource at a time.
  • Those based on Advanced Gathering Hubs have moderate overall gathering rate and excels at harvesting Stone.png Stone from Monoliths,[note 4] and can carry up to two resources at a time.
  • Those based on Executive Gathering Hubs have high overall gathering rate and excels at harvesting Iron Ore.png Iron Ore from Strange Ore Veins,[note 5] and can carry up to three resources at a time.

Don't worry about exposing Basic Harvesters to enemies, as they are completely invulnerable. The Harvester will self-destruct when there are no more resources for the Harvester to gather from (but not before returning to their home Gathering Hub) or their home Gathering Hub is destroyed or retreated.

  2. Technically by attacking the resource, which removes a certain percentage of the resource's maximum HP in each hit, and collecting the resource in the same way as Operators do.
  3. 6% for Thickets, 1.5% for Monoliths, 0.8% for Strange Ore Veins
  4. 7% for Thickets, 5% for Monoliths, 1% for Strange Ore Veins
  5. 8% for Thickets, 6% for Monoliths, 5% for Strange Ore Veins
