Basic Harvester
The Basic Harvester, also known as Gatherer in Tales Within the Sand, is an allied unit (technically classified as a normal enemy) in the Reclamation Algorithm game mode of Arknights.
Overview
A UGV produced by Sunvalley Industries to gather resources on the field with better efficiency than human workers, Basic Harvesters are periodically spawned by Gathering Hubs (Fire Within the Sand)/Harvester Hubs other than Extracting ones which operates its own Miners instead (Tales Within the Sand) and will automatically harvest resources (Thickets, Monoliths, Strange Ore Veins, and Lighting Ore Veins) in the Hub's range[note 2] and returns to their home Hub to drop off the harvested resources once the Harvester's capacity is full.
Depending on the type of their home Gathering/Harvester Hub, Basic Harvesters have different effectiveness and specializations:
- Those based on Basic Gathering Hubs/Sawing Harvesting Hubs have low overall gathering rate and excels at harvesting
Wood from Thickets,[note 3] and can only carry one resource at a time.
- Those based on Advanced Gathering Hubs/Quarrying Harvesting Hubs have moderate overall gathering rate and excels at harvesting
Stone from Monoliths,[note 4] and can carry up to two resources at a time.
- Those based on Executive Gathering Hubs/Mining Harvesting Hubs have high overall gathering rate and excels at harvesting
Iron Ore from Strange Ore Veins,[note 5] and can carry up to three resources at a time.
Don't worry about exposing Basic Harvesters to enemies, as they are completely invulnerable. The Harvester will self-destruct when there are no more resources for the Harvester to gather from (but not before returning to their home Hub) or their home Hub leaves the map.
