Forte
The Forte are an Ancient race in the world of Arknights.

Fortes have pointed keratin horns, rounded and protruding ears, tails with tufts of hair, and a muscular build. There are several subgroups which have small, rounded ears and the ability to survive in arid deserts.
The Fortes' lack of flexibility is compensated with their excellent physical strength. Because of that, they are often stereotyped as merely physically strong yet brainless people, and this stereotype is further reinforced by the popular drink brand, Forte Energy Drink. Nevertheless, many Forte are actually known for their philosophical wisdom, especially in settlements where they are the predominant race. Legend says that ancient Fortes could be totally immersed in literary works and ideology discussions, and their lifestyle showcased a dire contrast with neighboring Reproba tribes.[3]
Fortes are one of the common races on Terra. Among all nations, Minos has a predominant population of Fortes. Many prominent schools of philosophy were founded by Minoan Forte scholars, such as the story of Phenalates, who once dissected her philosophy with a nameless Sargonian Feline day and night. Other countries with flatland landscapes can have a decent Forte population such as Sargon and Yan, and they are often perceived as humble laborers owing to their agrarian culture. In fact, Yanese Fortes are believed to be one of the earliest ethnic groups to engage in agricultural activities. There is even a Yanese legend narrating a Forte tribe who built the earliest carriage that allowed them to travel around farmlands in mountainous regions to both observe their farm plots and quickly prepare for evacuation from Catastrophes.[3]

Trivia[edit]
- Initially the Forte race was thought to be solely based on bovines, but this is no longer the case with the introduction of Tuye. It is possible that the Fortes might be based on any large beast of burden that is an artiodactyl, which is noted by the Chinese name which means "strong hoof."
- Most Forte hail from Minos, which is likely a reference to the Minotaur in Greek legend.
