The Anaty (pl. Anaties) are an Ancient race in the world of Arknights.

Description[edit]

Anaties have rounded ears and long, pointed tails being either slim or rounded and bushy, though not all Anaties have bestial ears. They are a race that is commonly associated with the mountains because most of them have been living in such regions since the distant past. They also have the tradition of welcoming any guest they could encounter.[2]

Despite their feeble bodies, Anaties are excellent diggers and mountain climbers thanks to their geographical adaptation. They can directly carve an entire cave system inside the mountains that serve as their dwellings. Thanks to their anatomy, Anaties have an agile mobility that allows them to easily run and walk through the rugged mountains which led many of them to become traveling merchants and Catastrophe Messengers.[2]

Some Anaty ethnic groups living in remote areas practice a tradition of coming-of-age ritual. Upon reaching adulthood, youngsters will be exiled to a desolate mountain where they have to survive on their own for a determined period of time. Although this tradition is seen as cruel in modern eyes, there is a philosophy behind this practice since this will train youngsters to better adapt their survival skills to any circumstances such as Catastrophes.[2]
