Mystic Light Quest is an Arknights music track and the Operator EP of Pepe, performed by Japanese singer Machico Saitō (who is also the voice actor for Pepe, making this the second instance of an Operator's CV performing their EP), with lyrics by Japanese Singer RANASOL and composed by dance music producer KOTONOHOUSE.

Introduction

Lyrics

No problem
Mystical light

With the sun that shine on me yeah!
Mystery is always by my side

Everyday
Stop it!

With the sun that shine on me yeah!
Mystery is always by my side

Trivia

  • The song has received exceptionally high reception in both the Arknights community and other non-players. As of August 2024, the fan reuploaded version on Bilibili alone, which was uploaded a day after the CN Summer Event livestream, has received more than 98 million views and 49 thousand danmaku (bullet screens), and it has ranked the 21st most popular video on Bilibili. The official PV on Arknights' Bilibili account, which was uploaded later, has received 44 million views and 29 thousand danmaku.
    • As a gratitude for the PV's popularity, the official Arknights Bilibili account manager, Bilibili@Wan顽子, offered Pepe's GIFs from the PV as a gift for fan content creation.[1] These GIFs are specially done by TOMATO, Conviction's illustrator.[2]
  • In the CN community, the PV is simply nicknamed "ice (冰)" for a rather funny reason:
    • In the interlude between 00:27 and 00:38 and between 01:51 and 02:02, there is a repeating chant saying "habibi." The chant is actually habib (حَبِيب), "sweetheart; darling" in Arabic.[3]
    • Nevertheless, the chant was soramimi-ed as "掺冰冰 (Pinyin: chān bīng bīng; lit. "to stir the ice")." Adding to its humorous meaning was that the PV's repeating rhythm is so additive that it is as if sucking "ice poison (Hanzi: 冰毒; methamphetamine in Chinese)."
