—Description of operations featuring the Transverse Plate |
Transverse Plate is a terrain feature in Arknights.
Overview
The Kazdel nomadic city's structure is not firm and held together by many "Transverse Plates" which is very unstable and requires assistance to be safely passed through.
Transverse Plates appear as pieces of metal with small gaps between them; Operators cannot be deployed on a Transverse Plate if there are no others on a regular tile within a 3×3 area with 1×3 extensions to the four cardinal directions, in which case the Operator on the Transverse Plate will be linked to the last deployed Operator on a regular tile within said area by a Stabilizer Chain, keeping them steady and allows them to link up the Chain with others; a single Operator can maintain up to 2 Stabilizer Chains at a time. The Stabilizer Chain also Slows enemies coming in contact with it for 3 seconds and disables some of their traits (see Interactions below).
Should an Operator on a Transverse Plate loses their Stabilizer Chain(s) (usually because all other Operators linked with them leaves the map), they will enter an Unsteady state where they will become disabled and forcibly retreated if they are not linked with another Operator in 10 seconds.
