Zwillingstürme is the capital of Leithanien.
Background[edit]
Zwillingstürme was originally known as Vedunien and chosen as the setting ground for the Witch King's Spire, der Herkunftshorn, during the early days of his reign. By the 1040s, however, the Kurfürsten regained political power over the country as the Witch King's authority began to loosen and seize the opportunity to act. In September of 1077, during the Septemberaufstand, the Twin Empresses, with the Kurfürsten' full support, led the joint armies of different Kreise and fought against the Witch King's troops stationed in the outskirts of Vedunien. In the six times the Kurfürsten attempted to break through Vedunien's defenses, their soldiers were decimated by the Originium Arts casted from the Herkunftshorn, in addition to the Witch King's loyalist soldiers' frenetic attacks. The Twin Empresses decided to lead an elite force and sneak into Vedunien in the dead of night, bypassing the Witch King's 22 Arts circles and reaching the Spire, where they finally defeated him. After his public execution, the Twins were crowned as the new Kaiserinen, bringing an end to a century of despair. [2]
Vedunien was reconstructed and renamed as Zwillingstürme in 1092, as part of the Glorreiches Kapitalprojekt[note 1], a massive urbanization plan overseen by famous Leithanian architect Bach.[3] Furthermore, in order to complement the already existing eleven musical Spires of the Reichsmusikhochschule[note 2], Bach added eleven more to match the 22 districts that divide Zwillingstürme, synchronized like a grand orchestra.[4] The Twin Empresses's Spires later became the new landmark of the city. The Golden Tower was dubbed "Eternal Grace" representing the Golden Empress, Lieselotte, while the Black Tower was dubbed "Austere Authority" representing the Black Empress, Hildegard. Each year, the Twin Empresses held a festival celebrating their reign called "Das Kaiserinenfest"', where it culminates with the Empresses and the Reichsorchesters playing the Güldenesgesatz with their own instruments together on a bridge that connects both Spires. During the Kaiserinenfest, nobles from different Kreise and nations attend to meet Their Majesties in person.

It was originally called "Gustav Park" to commemorate the deeds of a former Kaiser, although others suggest that it commemorates the victims of the Septemberaufstand twenty three years ago.
