The video starts. Multiple images of northern landscapes flash by and a title is displayed on screen:

EXPEDITION JOURNAL: INFY ICEFIELD
(EXCERPT)

A map of the northern part of Terra is displayed on which Columbia, Sami, Ursus and the Infy Icefield are marked. Two travel lines go from Columbia to the icefield; one through Sami and the other through Ursus.

Narrator: There are two major routes to reach the Infy Icefield. One takes you, the surveyors, through Ursus, and the other through Sami. Ongoing disputes between Columbia and Ursus greatly hinder application procedures for the Ursus route.

Screen focuses to Sami.

Narrator: You are thus advised to take the Sami route.

A travel line goes through a map of Sami.

Narrator: After leaving the Columbian border, you may choose from several paths through Sami to reach the Icefield.

Images of Sami's forests and mountains are shown.

Narrator: However, the natural environment of Sami is incredibly complex, with overlapping wetlands, forests, and mountainous terrain that can easily prove challenging to inexperienced surveyors.

Images of Samifjod are shown. On it is written:

OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPH NOT TO BE RELEASED TO PUBLIC

Narrator: The natives of Sami call themselves the Samifjod. Most Samifjod are Elafia, with a small population of unique Sarkaz and other rarer races.

A Sami village is shown.

Narrator: The political structure, culture, and industry of Sami are fundamentally different when it comes to most Terran civilizations. We still know very little of them, even to this day. We hope that your expeditions will help Columbia achieve a better understanding of these people.

A deer skull with a black symbol carved on it is shown.

Narrator: We know from current materials that the Sami live in ancient tribal societies. The Snjovagydiur, or Snowpriests, not only serve as political heads of tribes but also provide spiritual and military leadership. Their attitudes towards you may either grant or deny safe passages through Sami.

Classified photo negatives of Eikthyrnir are shown.

Narrator: Unfortunately, most Snowpriests do not welcome outsiders. Therefore, you must remember this: In Sami, you may have to contend with more than just the environment.

A birdview of the icefield is shown.

Narrator: Successful passage through Sami will bring you to the Icefield.

On it, the positions of research stations are shown. One of them displays Magallan.

Narrator: Sponsored by leading Columbian tech companies, earlier explorers have built multiple permanent research stations, offering shelter and resupply in this region.

Classified images of Typhon's silhouette are shown.

Narrator: You may also seek assistance from an ally armed with a giant bow.

A forest in a snowstorm is shown.

Narrator: Exploring the Icefield is a significant undertaking, but alway make safety your primary concern.

Two groups of images are shown. They are marked as rootless flowers and black snow.

Narrator: Cease your expedition and return at once if you see the following items:

Black flowers are shown.

Narrator: - blooming plants with no visible roots;

A snowflake that turns black is shown.

Narrator: - pitch black snow;

An iceblock in form of a hand is shown. The narrator's voice gets gradually distorted.

Narrator: - objects resembling human hands;

A silhouette of an Emperor's Blade is shown.

Narrator: - phantoms resembling Ursine officers; and...

The screen suddenly gets distorted and turns off. After a moment, it turns on again and shows an icy mountainscape. The narrator's voice is back to normal.

Narrator: Finally, we would like to thank you for taking the time to peruse this document.

The scenery turns to night with polar lights in the sky.

Narrator: We hope you accomplish your survey goals, as it will undoubtedly contribute to Columbia's scientifice and cultural endeavors.
