Having the $trange $unglasses (Ceobe's Fungimist)/Rusted Iron Hammer (Phantom & Crimson Solitaire onward) will give a 50% discount to the Rogue Trader's wares.
- In Crimson Solitaire, "Wild Gold" also has the same effect (albeit one-time only) and can be stacked with Rusted Iron Hammer for 75% off all wares!
- In Expeditioner's Joklumarkar, triggering an Accord effect with Surprise has the same effect on the Rogue Traders made to appear this way, and can be stacked with Rusted Iron Hammer and itself!
The 1F Rogue Trader will only have Caster Rec. Voucher, Medic Rec. Voucher, and Vanguard Rec. Voucher as the possible Rec. Vouchers. In Joklumarkar, the 1F Rogue Trader also never has Survey Equipment Maintenance Device up for sale, and the restrictions also applies to Rogue Traders made to appear by Surprise, but not those inside the secret floor if entered from 1F.
Prospective Investment
Since Crimson Solitaire, the player may invest their Originium Ingots at the Rogue Trader through the Prospective Investment System which will give them various bonuses at certain thresholds. Keep in mind that the function is independent for each I.S. theme (e.g. the player's investment in Crimson Solitaire will not be carried over to Mizuki & Caerula Arbor or vice-versa) and not all Rogue Trader nodes allow the player to make Prospective Investments.
Each investment deposits 1 to the Rogue Trader, who can hold up to 999 . There is a chance when investing that the system will crash, preventing the player from making further investments for the rest of the run. The higher floor where the Rogue Trader is, the lower that crash chance will be.
The Prospective Investment bonuses are:

After investing 200 (Crimson Solitaire)/25 (since Caerula Arbor), the option to withdraw the invested Originium Ingots are available.
- In Crimson Solitaire, each withdrawal gives 1 and deducts the invested Ingots by
a = 2(b - 1)
(a is the final withdrawal cost; b is the withdrawal count, up to 6).
- In Caerula Arbor, each withdrawal requires 1 and allows the player to withdraw 1 ~ 8 , deducting the invested Ingots by the withdrawal amount.
- In Expeditioner's Joklumarkar, each withdrawal gives 1 and deducts the invested Ingots by 1, with the deduction increasing by 1 with each withdrawal, max of 12 withdrawals.
Extras
Can Cannot show you his wares?
From Caerula Arbor onward, a button saying "Touch the goods tentatively" will be present on the Rogue Trader after the player had invested 100 ; pressing this button at least five times will irritate Cannot and gives the player two options: Listen to Cannot and "Bargain" with Cannot.
- If Listen to Cannot is chosen, nothing happens; the player can browse or buy Cannot's wares and make Prospective Investments (if available) as usual, and can still press "Touch the goods tentatively" in which case Cannot will be immediately irritated.
- If "Bargain" with Cannot is chosen, the player will be forced into an ISW-SP operation featuring Cannot himself as a boss enemy. Should the player clear said operation, they can loot the Rogue Trader: all of his current wares are free but Cannot will leave for the rest of the run, meaning all Rogue Trader nodes from this point will have no wares available and will not allow the player to make Prospective Investments!
Mizuki & Caerula Arbor
- The player can roll the die for a chance to refresh the Rogue Trader's wares at the cost of 1 die roll:
- 7 to 12: [Favored by Fortune] Cannot is willing to offer you certain "premium goods"
All of the wares are refreshed and may include those which normally cannot be purchased from the Rogue Trader (excluding ending-specific Collectibles), including Pathfinder Fins which can only be made available this way. - 5 or 6: [Smooth Sailing] Cannot is willing to show you some new wares
All of the wares are refreshed. - 1 to 4: [Calm Seas] Cannot brings out two new items
Two of the wares are refreshed.
- 7 to 12: [Favored by Fortune] Cannot is willing to offer you certain "premium goods"
- After investing 200 , the Rogue Trader will raise the price of one of his wares, chosen at random, by 50%. The price hike is increased to 100% (i.e. doubled) after the player invested 500 .
- Unlocking the "Negotiation" Cognitive Shaping nodes give a chance that the Rogue Trader gives a discount to his wares' price after rolling the die (see above).
Expeditioner's Joklumarkar
- When the Rogue Trader node is fully surveyed, the player will be able to see a sneak peek on the Rogue Trader's wares.
- Unlocking the "Regulation Display" Cross-cultural Comparison node allows the Rogue Trader's wares to be refreshed once per node.
Survey Equipment Maintenance Device
The Rogue Trader may have this item available among his wares with a price tag of 12 , which increases the Anti-Interference Index by 1.
Some Rogue Trader nodes will offer this device
