Operator trivia: Amiya

Concept[edit]

  • Her ability to enhance the power of the previous Kings of Sarkaz likely parallels the Seventy-Two Demons of Solomon or King Solomon himself who, in Jewish mysticism, possessed his own magical signet rings, the basis for his "demons" in later works.
  • Amiya's birthdate, December 23, plays an important role in the Arknights' stories, such as the Doctor's rescue mission in the Prologue.[1] Arknights: Prelude to Dawn was also aired on 0:23 a.m., mirroring her birthdate.
  • The menu used to switch between Amiya's versions use the same script that appears around Logos when he is casting Arts, implying that it is an ancient Sarkaz language. Given the origins of the Black Crown, the script is heavily implied to be the "Predecessor" language. The closed alpha test of Arknights: Endfield provides a translation for the script as follows:
    • The text shown when selecting a class to change on the interface reads "WAKE UP?"
    • The text shown after the change is confirmed is flipped upside down and reads "COURAGE RESTORED". Another blurred text in the background also reads "CORPOREAL MODE".

Outfit(s)[edit]

  • Amiya has the most outfits of all Operators, with five (including the CN-exclusive Touch the Stars).
  • To obtain Touch the Stars, the CN-only Among the Luminaries event required 3 million views for the PV. While initially supposed to run until July 13, the goal was already achieved on the day of its release.

Distinctions[edit]

  • Amiya is the only Operator to:
    • ...receive an alternate artwork when promoted to Elite 1.
    • ...have multiple version of herself that can be switched to and from, distinguishing her from alternate Operators.
  • Amiya is the first and currently only 5★ Operator with traits that are exclusive to 6★ Operators:
  • Amiya is tied with Ifrit for the highest Cell-Originium Assimilation of all Infected characters, at 19%.
  • Amiya is one of two Operators whose token is not described as being an item, the other being the Civilight Eterna.
  • In one of Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables' non-canon timelines, Amiya's death (according to the Ten Rings and the Encounter: Courtyard of the Departed) alongside Ascalon and Touch marks the sixth, seventh and eighth depiction of an Operator's death in a non-canon timeline (after Ceobe, Beagle, Ulpianus, Gladiia and Specter), and the sixth, seventh and eighth depiction of an Operator's death overall.
  • According to the CN server's 1st Anniversary livestream, 587,991 players had promoted their Amiya to Elite 2 while 11,455 players had maxed out their Amiya's level.
  • According to the Global server's 1st Anniversary livestream, as of the end of Contingency Contract Pyrite, Amiya is the most common Operator to be assigned to the Control Center.
  • According to the CN server's 2nd Anniversary livestream;
    • Amiya ranks first in the list of top 5★ Operators promoted to Elite 2. This is expected, as this is a requirement to progress further in the Main Theme.
    • 851,865 players cleared JT8-2 with an Elite 2 Amiya in the squad, unlocking her alternate Guard version and JT8-3.
  • According to the Global server's 2nd anniversary livestream, Amiya is the second most commonly assigned Assistant Operator.

Miscellaneous[edit]

  • Amiya is considered to be the game's de facto protagonist, as well as its' "mascot" or "poster girl." Her base avatar is used as Arknights' icon and frequently appears in promotional material for the game.
  • Amiya is also considered one of the three core protagonists of the Arknights storylines, alongside Kal'tsit and Ch'en. Of the three, she symbolizes “the future”, entrusted with hope and optimism.
  • Amiya's shirt underneath the jacket is shown to be sleeveless in Episode 08 CGs, but has long sleeves in the artbooks and the anime.
  • Due to the way her ears are drawn, Amiya was initially mistaken for a donkey by players. Even if she was confirmed to be a Cautus, this has become a meme within the Arknights community. To fix such issue, she sometimes appears as a brown, chibi-like bunny in merchandise advertisements.
    • As a response, Wei@W expressed this on a podcast that the reason she possesses such oddly-shaped ears is to emphasize her huge responsibility by making it sharper and toning down the cuteness.[2]
  • Her Idle voiceline ("There's still lots of work that needs to be done, Doctor. You can't rest now!") was popularized as a community joke depicting Amiya as a ruthless CEO trying to force the Doctor to work overtime.
    • Her Guard and Medic variants would bear contrasting voicelines instead; in both, Amiya shows concern over the Doctor's well-being.
  • Amiya shares her birthday with Patriot.
  • In Solo Around the World skin, the Originium lesion on her arm is not present, even though her arm is uncovered.
