Operator trivia: Amiya

  • Her name could mean "delightful (अमिया)" in Sanskrit, which is a common name. Alternatively, it might parallel to the Hebrew name Amia (עֲמִיָּה), meaning "people of God."[1][2] This fits well to her role likened as the Messiah to the Infected and the Sarkaz as well as the direct successor of Theresa.
  • Her ability to enhance the power of the previous Lords of Fiends might parallel the Seventy-Two Demons of Solomon or even King Solomon himself who, in Jewish mysticism, possessed his own magical signet rings, the basis for his "demons" in later works.
  • Amiya's birthdate, 23 December, plays an important role in Arknights' stories such as the rescue mission on the Doctor at Prologue.[3] Arknights: Prelude to Dawn is also aired on 0:23 a.m., which parallels her birthdate.
  • Amiya is the only Operator who receives an alternate artwork when promoted to Elite 1 and has an alternative version as well as being the only 5★ Operator who has three skills.
    • The Guard version of Amiya is the only (and will be the only, as Hypergryph had confirmed) alternative Operator in Arknights.
    • While not exactly identical, the alternate (or "alter", to avoid confusion) versions of certain Operators are similar to the Guard version of Amiya, but are counted as a separate Operator. Thus, alter Operators can be obtained even if their original Operator is not present in the player's roster.
  • Along with Ifrit, Amiya has the highest Cell-Originium Assimilation of all Infected characters, at 19%.
  • The menu used to switch between the Guard and Caster versions of Amiya uses the same script that appears around Logos when he is casting Arts, implying that it is an ancient Sarkaz language. Considering the origin of the Black Crown however, the script may actually be the language of the "First Civilization". The closed alpha test of Arknights: Endfield provides a translation for the script as follows:
    • The text shown when selecting either class to change on the interface reads "WAKE UP?"
    • The text shown after the change is confirmed is flipped upside down and reads "COURAGE RESTORED". Another blurred text in the background also reads "CORPOREAL MODE".
  • As the three official protagonists of Arknights, Amiya is the symbolism of “the future” who is entrusted with hope and optimism, whereas Kal'tsit represents "the past" and Ch'en is "the present."
  • As the game's de facto protagonist, Amiya has several well-known jokes:
    • She is considered to be the game's "mascot" or "poster girl." This is shown by her avatar which is used as Arknights' icon and her frequent appearance in the trailers.
    • Due to the way her ears are drawn, Amiya was initially mistaken by the CN community players for being a donkey. Even after Amiya was confirmed to be a Cautus, this has become a meme within the Arknights community. To fix such issue, she often appears as a brown, chibi bunny in merchandise advertisements.
      • In response to this meme, Wei@W, HG's former Art Director, expressed this on a podcast that the reason she possesses such oddly-shaped bunny ears is to emphasize her huge responsibility by making it sharper and toning down the cuteness.[4]
    • The JP community often depicts her as overprotective due to her father-daughter-like relationship with the Doctor whenever they accidentally or not act in a way that could be interpreted as romantic towards them.
    • The most famous voice line of hers is perhaps her Idle dialogue, "There's still lots of work that needs to be done, Doctor. You can't rest now!". As a matter of fact, this is popularized as a community joke in which Amiya is a ruthless CEO trying to force the Doctor to work overtime.
      • As a retaliation, the CN community makes her work inside the Control Center together with Team Rainbow so that she will overwork without rest through the faction's unique base skill that basically does not drain her base morale.
      • On the contrary, her Idle dialogue as a Guard encourages the Doctor to rest: "Doctor, are you okay? Do you need to rest a little? I'll help carry you. Don't worry, I'm doing fine. So long as you're rested".
  • According to Arknights CN's 1st Anniversary livestream, 587,991 players had promoted their Amiya to Elite 2 while 11,455 players had maxed out their Amiya's level.
  • According to Arknights Global's 1st Anniversary livestream, as of the end of Contingency Contract Pyrite, Amiya is the most common Operator to be assigned to the Control Center.
  • According to Arknights CN's 2nd Anniversary livestream:
    • Amiya ranks first in the list of top 5★ Operators promoted to Elite 2 (which is not surprising, since this is the requirement to progress further in the Main Story).
    • 851,865 players had cleared JT8-2 with an Elite 2 Amiya in the squad (thus unlocking her alternate Guard version and JT8-3).
  • According the Global server's 2nd anniversary livestream, Amiya is the second most Operator assigned as the player's Assistant.
  • Amiya's Chinese CV, Tao Dian, has been jokingly called the "protagonist girl" in the CN community as she is also the CV of Kiana Kaslana in Honkai Impact 3rd, who is the said game's protagonist like Amiya.
  • Amiya's English CV, Emma Ballantine, also voiced Verthandi, another protagonist girl from Yostar's published Action-RPG title, Aether Gazer.
  • Amiya's token is the only token that is not described as being an item.
  • The Touch the Stars outfit for the Guard version of Amiya isn't illustrated by Hoshieve. It was illustrated by Mag42 who did the illustration for Coldshot.
    • In order to obtain the outfit, the campaign needed 3 million views for the PV in order for the CN playerbase to get the rewards. While initially supposed to run until 13th of July, the PV already got that amount on just the first day, the campaign had already ran its course.
  • Along with Dusk in WR-10 and Troupe Mouthpiece, her enemy version is the only enemy in Arknights which cannot be directly harmed by the player and requires a specific method to be damaged/defeated.
