Flowing Shape

The Flowing Shape is a Reinforcement in Arknights, deployed through Muelsyse's first talent. It is a water clone of Muelsyse, courtesy of her hydrokinetic powers unrelated to Originium Arts, which can mimic the appearance of others.

The Flowing Shape initially appears as a blob of water with average stats, 1 block, and a melee Arts attack, which can be deployed on both melee and ranged tiles. What makes the Shape unique, however, is the ability to mimic an Operator in the deployment lineup, giving it a portion of their HP, ATK, DEF, and RES, and the same block count, attack interval, range, facing, and damage type; their attacks, however, will always be able to target ground and aerial enemies, and hit one target at a time even if the Shape mimics an Operator with area-of-effect/multi-target attacks. The Shape will not mimic the Operator's trait, talent(s), Operator Module effects, and skills, instead having unique interactions with Muelsyse's skills and its own trait depending on whether the mimicked Operator is a melee or ranged one:

  • Mimicking a melee Operator causes the Shape's attacks to Steal the target's ATK and DEF.
  • Mimicking a ranged Operator causes the Shape to summon clones of itself on the adjacent tiles (unless if the tiles are undeployable) every tenth attack.

Addendum
To have the Flowing Shape copy an Operator, activate its skill and deploy the Operator on top of the Shape (akin to relieving Operators in Stationary Security Service). Doing this does not actually deploy the Operator, and thus their redeployment time will not start and their DP cost will not ramp up.

Talent

Base.png On skill activation, copies 50% of the target's HP, ATK, DEF, and RES, as well as Block Count, Attack Interval, Attack Range, and Initial Damage Type (Does not inherit "does not attack" or healing type)
Elite 1.png On skill activation, copies 70% of the target's HP, ATK, DEF, and RES, as well as Block Count, Attack Interval, Attack Range, and Initial Damage Type (Does not inherit "does not attack" or healing type)
Elite 2.png On skill activation, copies 90% of the target's HP, ATK, DEF, and RES, as well as Block Count, Attack Interval, Attack Range, and Initial Damage Type (Does not inherit "does not attack" or healing type)
Addendum
If the Flowing Shape cannot inherit the mimicked Operator's damage type (such as by mimicking a Medic or Bard Supporter), its attacks deal Arts damage instead.

Skill

Flowing Shape
Auto Recovery
Manual
20 seconds
Effect Initial SP SP cost Duration
Copies an undeployed Operator. If it is a Ranged Operator, can split itself after every 10 attacks, automatically deploying a copy on an adjacent tile (lasts 25 seconds); if it is a Melee Operator, each attack Steals 10 ATK and DEF from enemies (Caps at 250, resets after copying another Operator) 95 100 20s
Addendum
  • The additional Flowing Shapes face the same direction as the original and will be prioritized to be deployed on the following tiles: Front > Back > Left > Right
  • The Flowing Shape's skill cannot be activated if Muelsyse's skill is active and can be deactivated anytime, although the in-game description does not acknowledge the latter.
    • Deactivating the skill without mimicking an Operator will revert the Flowing Shape back to its initial form, even if it had mimicked an Operator previously.
