The Shanhaizhong Cipher Machine is a hostile deployable device in Arknights. It is an apparatus used by the Shanhaizhong to provide cipher for (i.e. encrypting) their messages and communications, improving their members' coordination and reaction.

Shanhaizhong Cipher Machines are deployed by Shanhaizhong Relayers and Harbingers upon reaching a Yumen Catastrophe Defense for the first time on the spot, which increases the ASPD and MSPD of all enemies on the map, which stacks if multiple Cipher Machines are present.

Where be No Mounts and Seas has pre-deployed Shanhaizhong Cipher Machines.
