HydeBro

HydeBro (H.B.) was a Columbian construction firm founded by the Hyde brothers, Vale and Leo Hyde, who started their company from scratch in the world of business, eventually becoming some of Columbia's top magnates and industrialists in short time.[1][2] It was the rival company of Simon Co. in Bunkerhill City that caused the downfall and imprisonment of the Simon family. As a result of this, it enjoyed a monopoly in Bunkerhill and its surrounding cities.

At their prime, HydeBro's employees and business sites could be seen anywhere in Columbia. They also established a deep, extensive relationship with Columbian officials, and served as one of the Rhine Lab Energy Section's main suppliers.[3][1] However, at some point after the Mansfield incident, the Hyde brothers were summoned by a District Court due to corruption and hostile business practice allegations, leading to their arrest bankruptcy.[4] HydeBro's rise and fall has become a subject of study, either considered a legend or a tragedy in the business world.[1]

Tower Mountains

Tower Mountains (T.M.) is a Columbian pharmaceutical company specialized in biomedical products focusing primarily on allergic or infectious diseases, with their core research direction being the impact of Originium on the field of biology. For a long time, the company has been conducting experiments in the ground of Originium research, as well as supplying both pioneers and the Union Army with Oripathy suppressors in various states. In recent years, they began expanding on other fields such as neurological disease treatment. Although the effectiveness of the company's Oripathy-related drugs is often questioned, even being suspected of being "extracts from a terrifying Originium monster" or "mere placebos with no actual scientific level," the military and the state governments alike have maintained a solid cooperation with Tower Mountains.

In Terran year 1079, T.M. set up a test facility in the Barron Mine in southern Columbia and began experimenting on needleflies in order to study the effects of active Originium on diverse organisms, aiming to create intelligent-enough warbeasts for the army. This led to the infamous "Barron Mine Incident" four years later, which deeply affected the company's credibility after it was leaked to public. Instead of taking any conventional methods, T.M.'s PR department decided to spread scientific conspiracy theories in the following years, thus confusing their public's targets by venting their emotions, turning all fear and towards T.M. into a vague cultural stereotype. While questionable, this tactic resulted successful to the company's earnings outside the technological field.[5][6]

Volvort Kochinski

Volvort Kochinski (V.K.) is one of Columbia's top military manufacturers, rumored to be the most powerful company in Columbian economy. Originally founded as a humble weapons workshop by several Kazimierzian immigrants, it began to root itself in the country after a century of development, extending its business scope into many fields including civilian-oriented products, banking, finance, and security services. During the Columbian Revolutionary War, V.K. manufactured most of the weapons and equipment used by the newly-born Revolutionary Army. Their victory in the war against the Victorian overlords further consolidated their reputation, not only earning a huge fortune, but also receiving a preferential treat from the government for its future development.[7]

As one of the companies with direct ties with the Department of Defense and the Federal Government through their laissez-faire relationship, V.K. manages to walk through the business world without much external interference. While rumors about their actions in certain gray zones occasionally pop out, the company has never paid the price for any illicit activity.[7] During the Watchtower 33 Incident, V.K. temporarily aided Drudge Tulla's attempted treason, and even provided him and his mercenaries one of their latest weapons, the "TSW-2 Ultrasonic Impact Unit".[8][9]\

Other corporations

  • Blaine Formative: A science institute where Elliot's professor belonged to. Twenty-two years ago, the company sent a technician group, the "Sand Soldiers," into the Ibut Region of Sargon in order to conduct research on an Originium-based weapon there. However, no one managed to survive except young Elliot after the weapon was preyed by a Sargonian Padishah. Behind the scene, the institute was hijacked by the Columbian military in order to arouse conflict within the district.[10]
  • Beachbrella: A pharmaceutical company that Jesselton Williams is working for, led by the mysterious "Mr. K".[11] The institute seems to provide support to Loken Watertank,[12] as well as medical equipment for Mama John's.[13] It also attempted to experiment with Collapsal corruption by feeding contaminated meat to other animals, which led to the corruption of the lab the scientists who were in.[14]
  • Fonterra Bioresearching: A pharmaceutical company that recieves funding from the Department of Defense, rumored to conduct experiments aiming for the use of Originium Arts to control animals for their potential use in Originium weapon transportation. One of their labs, located in Ironforge, was being investigated by Blacksteel, which lead to a confrontation with unknown armed forces, leading to an incident culminating in an Originium leakage where Franka became Infected. The officials sources however state that it was just a leakage, which is actually a coverup from BSW's higher-ups under an agreement of the Federal Goverment.[15]
  • Haydn Pharmaceutical: A pharmaceutical company run by the eponymous director Hayden Ramt that acts as R.L.'s investment partner. It provided its facilities, namely the Lab-1 for R.L. to conduct experiment on Ifrit. During the Diαbolic Crisis, the company's director was killed in action and Lab-1 was completely burnt down by Ifrit.[16]
  • Loken Watertank Laboratory: Run by the mad scientist Loken Williams, it is notorious for its unethical experimentations and secret financial supports by the DOD. After Rosmontis' rampage, the building was totally laid waste and Loken himself was immediately incarcerated for his crime.
  • Simon Co.: Owned by the Simon family, this company started as a logistic company and gradually grew into a construction supply corporation. Due to a business rivalry against HydeBro, the corporation was fallen from grace and the CEO, Smith Simon, was falsely imprisoned.[17][18]
  • Westin Security: A private mercenary company where Kal'tsit once worked for as an advisor and Arts trainer. Twenty years ago, it was hired by Blaine Formative in order to rescue the remaining "Sand Soldiers" technicians. However, the team faced betrayal by other groups and was totally annihilated after Kal'tsit and young Elliot left them. The company was shut down after the incident in the Ibut Region.[19]
