Operator overview: Jessica the Liberated

Jessica the Liberated the alternate 6★ version of Jessica who is a Sentinel Protector Defender specializing in Defense, Survival, and DPS.

Being an alter Operator, the Liberated is subject to the following mechanics:

  • Both Jessica and the Liberated share the same Trust, but have different potential, skills (as well as separate skill upgrades/Specialization training), talent, and base skills (as well as separate morale).
  • Both Jessica and the Liberated have their own outfits and dialogues, and are available separately as the player's Assistant.
  • Both Jessica and the Liberated can be present in one squad or the RIIC at the same time.

As a Sentinel Protector Defender, the Liberated uses a ranged attack with her anti-materiel rifle, having a range of two tiles ahead of her can hit aerial enemies, allowing her to act as an anti-air Operator in a pinch or attack enemies from behind another Operator. Like Protector Defenders, the Liberated can block up to three enemies and has higher ATK in exchange for lower HP and DEF.

Talents

  1. Adaptable allows the Liberated to deploy a Mobile Riot Shield on the adjacent tiles to her, which also causes her to turn towards where it is deployed so long as the M.R. Shield is present, which self-destructs after a while; this is the first and only way to change a friendly unit's direction without retreating them in Arknights (although the Liberated's deployment direction for the purpose of interacting with Originium Flow Generators, Realigned Fluxes, and visibility remains unchanged), and buffs her DEF and that of the friendly unit behind her.
    • The M.R. Shield itself can block two enemies, has great HP and DEF, and Taunt enemies into attacking it, but does not attack.
  2. Charge and Release gives the Liberated a chance to restore 1 SP when the M.R. Shield is damaged.

Skills

  1. Hold the Line permanently buffs the Liberated's ATK and the M.R. Shield's DEF, as well as extending its duration once charged.
  2. Covered Defense extends the Liberated's range to the 2×3 tiles ahead of her (like that of Spreadshooter Snipers from Elite 1), buffs her ATK, reduces her attack interval, and gives her a good chance to dodge Physical and Arts attacks while active.
  3. Saturation Burst uses the ammunition mechanic with 20 rounds, which extends the Liberated's range by an additional tile, buffs her ATK much more than Hold the Line and Covered Defense as well as her DEF and that of the M.R. Shield's which receives a higher buff, but increases the Liberated's attack interval. Whenever the M.R. Shield is deployed while Saturation Burst has ammo, the Liberated fires a high-explosive shot from her anti-materiel rifle straight ahead which deals AoE Physical damage upon impact with an enemy or reaching the center of her furthest range and temporarily Stuns those caught in the blast.

Base skills

  1. Order Management β increases Trading Post order acquisition rate by 10% and order limit by 4 while the Liberated is assigned to one.
  2. Reunion of Old Friends increases Factories' productivity by 5% for every Blacksteel Operator in a Factory but increases the Liberated's morale drain rate by a whopping 0.5 per hour while she is assigned to the Control Center.

Summary

Jessica the Liberated is a great Sentinel Protector Defender who can not only hold the line with her strong defenses and M.R. Shield, but also deliver strong attacks with utmost precision.
