• She is named after the blue poison dart frog (Dendrobates tinctorius "azureus").
  • Her Japanese name, "Azureus", derives from her scientific name.
• Blue Poison is one of the four Operators who has a different name in other servers alongside Flamebringer, Myrtle and Leizi.
• Blue Poison was originally listed as affiliated with the Abyssal Hunters during the closed beta of Arknights. However, it was changed to Rhodes Island upon the game's release and later to Iberia in Under Tides (CN servers) or A Walk in the Dust (Global servers).
• Excluding alter Operators, Blue Poison and Dobermann are one of the two pairs of Operators who shares the same illustrator and Japanese voice actress (in this case, they are both illustrated by LLC and voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki). The other pair of operators with this distinction are sisters Beeswax and Carnelian.
