Operator overview: Pallas

Pallas is a 6★ Instructor Guard who specializes in DPS and Support. As an Instructor Guard, Pallas' attacks have a range of 2 tiles ahead of her and her ATK is increased to 1.2× damage against enemies she aren't blocking, though this does not allow her to hit aerial enemies like Lord Guards. Pallas can block up to two enemies and have a modest overall stats which is the best of all Instructor Guards.

Talents

  1. Birth of a Hero applies Vigor to Minoan Operators (including Pallas herself) so long as their HP is above 80% while Pallas is deployed.
    • Minoan Operators have high HP for their respective classes, and as such, the Vigor effect is a boon for them to allow them to inflict more damage, provided the Minoans' HP could be kept in check.
  2. Goddess' Inspiration slightly restores the HP of Pallas herself and the friendly unit in front of her whenever her attacks hit an enemy.
    • The HP recovery from Goddess' Inspiration is treated as active healing, thus friendly units that cannot be actively healed such as Juggernaut Defenders and Musha Guards will not benefit from it.

Skills

  1. Strikes of Victory has offensive SP recovery, which increases the damage dealt by Pallas' attack and causes it to deliver two hits when charged.
  2. Whip of Conviction extends Pallas' range by another tile, buffs her ATK, and gives her attacks a chance to briefly Stun the target, which increases in higher levels, while active.
  3. Blessing of Heroism buffs Pallas' ATK and causes her attacks to hit up to three targets within range, like that of Centurion Guards, while active, during which the melee friendly unit in front of Pallas gains Vigor which is superior than that bestowed by Birth of a Hero and further improved every several levels, as well as having their DEF buffed and block count increased by one; if the friendly in front of Pallas a ranged unit[note 1] or there are no one there, these effects will be applied to Pallas herself instead.
    • Blessing of Heroism synergizes very well with high-HP/DEF, high-ATK Operators (especially Duelist Defenders like Eunectes or DPS-oriented Protector Defenders like Hoshiguma and Nian) whose HP can be easily kept in check, both by their defensive stats and Goddess' Inspiration, so that the Vigor effect allows them to deal more damage, and the improved defensive capabilities also allowing them to hold the line more effectively which can be useful for Centurion Guards (especially Blaze with Boling Burst) to hit more enemies, enhancing their damage output.
    • Even if Pallas is deployed on her own, Blessing of Heroism can still be useful to bolster her DPS output.
    • Do note that Blessing of Heroism's buffs are not instantly applied, but rather after a brief delay, thus the skill's activation must be timed well to be the most effective.

Operator Modules

  1. The INS-X Module, "Ούρος", further increases Pallas' ATK against enemies she aren't blocking to 1.3× in addition to increasing her maximum HP and ATK. Once upgraded, the ATK buff from Birth of a Hero's Vigor is increased and its HP threshold is reduced to >50%.
    • Ούρος should be Pallas' go-to Module thanks to the very beneficial overall damage buff.
  2. The INS-Y Module, "Light of Heria", allows Pallas to be deployed on ranged tiles in addition to increasing her ATK and ASPD. Once upgraded, Goddess' Inspiration's HP restoration is increased and it also restores some HP to all Minoan Operators.
    • Light of Heria is generally less preferred due to the rather negligible benefits, and Pallas herself is unable to target aerial enemies or those with Low-Altitude Hovering regardless.

Base skills

Pallas' base skills improve Factory efficiency in producing Battle Records while she is assigned to one.

  1. Domain of Wisdom increases capacity by 8 and reduces her morale drain rate by 0.25 per hour.
  2. Plan to Victory increases Battle Record productivity by 25%.

Summary

Pallas is a solid Instructor Guard who can deliver more DPS than other Instructor Guards (and many other Guards) could, while still capable of reliably supporting her allies. The war priestess shall carry her allies through joys and hardships into the ultimate victory.

Notes

  1. Except in operations where melee and ranged units can be deployed on every deployable tiles (e.g. Cargo Escort), where Blessing of Heroism will also be applied to ranged units.
