• Shaw has the traits of a squirrel, and squirrels are seen in her Elite 2 art and skin - where they are also physically present on her in-game sprite.
• Despite being a Lungmenite, her name is unusually Western, though derived from Xiao (消), meaning "to erase or extinguish," which is a reference to her occupation as a firefighter.
  • Alternatively, this could also be related to the fact that Hong Kong, Earth's analogue to Lungmen, was once a British colony. Indeed, Shaw's English dialogue has a slight British accent.
• At 135 cm tall, Shaw is the second shortest female character in Arknights after both Myrtle and Durin.
  • Shaw's in-game sprite, however, has her standing around the same height as other Operators.
• Shaw has become the subject of several memes in the Arknights community:
  • Due to her fast-talking speech (seen in the lack of spaces in her dialogue), she is often portrayed as Arknights' "rap god".
    • Her English voiced dialogue is delivered faster than an average English speaker would, though not to the same degree as the Japanese ones.
    • Spaces were added to her dialogue with the Dorothy's Vision update, but was later reverted in the Il Siracusano update.
  • Along with Cliffheart, Rope, FEater and Weedy, Shaw became the subject of the "Crownslayer Bully" meme where the five Operators exploited their push/pull skills to mess up Crownslayer's pathing, especially in 4-4.
• According to Arknights Global's first anniversary livestream, as of the end of Contingency Contract Pyrite, Shaw is the most common Operator assigned to the Workshop to process building materials.
