Hailing from a family of Victorian detectives, Metis Geraldine was a rookie yet intrepid private detective who will never back down to solve a case, courtesy of her upbringing where she was exposed to her family's reputation and aspired to follow their footsteps. After solving a murder case with the help from Heidi Thompson, Metis went on great lengths to find out every nook and cranny about Emperor, which brings her into Rhodes Island who was partnering with Penguin Logistics at the time, claiming to be a "Royal Detective". Thanks to valuable misleading information from P.L. staff including Exusiai and Croissant, May concluded that P.L. is an idol group that provides delivery services in its spare time, especially apple pie distribution... yeah, right. Still, R.I. decides to keep Metis under their wing with the codename "May" because her inquisitive and dedicated nature, and surprisingly good marksmanship makes her a valuable asset.
Introduction
May is a 4★ Marksman Sniper who specializes in DPS and Slow. As a Marksman Sniper, May has a range of 3×3 tiles with a 1-tile extension up front which is improved to 3×4 tiles at Elite 1, targets aerial enemies over ground ones, and has good ATK, low attack interval, decent HP and DEF, and low DP cost relative to other Snipers. However, May's DEF is notably lower than other Marksman Snipers, so she should be kept away from ranged enemies' reach.
Talent
Victorian Agent buffs May's ATK and ASPD.
Skills
- Paralyzing Shell has offensive SP recovery, which causes May's attack to deal more damage and Slow the target for a short time when charged.
- Binding Shock buffs May's ATK and makes her attacks briefly Slow the target with a chance to temporarily Stun them instead, but increases her attack interval while active.
Operator Module
The MAR-X Module, Novice Detective's Gift Bag, increases May's ATK against aerial enemies to 1.1× in addition to increasing her maximum HP and ATK. Once upgraded, Victorian Agent's ATK buff is increased.
Base skills
May's base skills improve Reception Room efficiency while she is assigned there.
- Clue Search β increases the clue search rate by 20%.
- Royal Detective (Self Proclaimed) makes Penguin Logistics clues easier to acquire the longer May is in the Reception Room.
Summary
May is a unique Marksman Sniper who can not only damage her enemies from long range, but also slow them down to buy time for friendlies to take them down, making her useful in situations where the player is expected to face fast-moving enemies like Hounds and Breakers.
