Flametail is a 6★ Pioneer Vanguard who specializes in DP-Recovery and Survival. As a Pioneer Vanguard, Flametail has high HP and DEF, and can block two enemies. Her stats, especially HP and DEF, are in the higher end among all Vanguards, allowing Flametail to last longer than other Vanguards and making her more of a defensive Pioneer Vanguard in a similar vein to Courier and Zima. However, Flametail's DP cost is the highest of all Vanguards due to her rarity, tied with Saga and Siege.

Talents

1. Vanguard Swordsmanship causes Flametail's next attack after successfully dodging a Physical attack to deliver two hits. At Elite 2, Vanguard Swordsmanship also makes said attack hit multiple enemies within range equal to Flametail's block count.
   • Vanguard Swordsmanship synergizes well with Flameheart to turn her into a pseudo-Centurion/Swordmaster Guard (if not limited by the fact that she must dodge enemy attacks for Vanguard Swordsmanship to work).
2. Pinus Sylvestris Leader gives Kazimierzian Operators (including Pinus Sylvestris Operators and Flametail herself) a small chance to dodge Physical attacks while Flametail is deployed.

Skills

1. Quick Intuition automatically generates 6 DP and gives Flametail a guaranteed dodge on the next Physical attack she receives (which cannot be stacked) when charged.
   • Quick Intuition is useful when Flametail is going to be used on the defensive, as not only it steadily generates DP, but also improves the chances of her surviving from high-ATK, Physical attacking enemies.
2. "Pinus Sylvestris" generates some DP and deals two instances of Physical damage towards enemies in a radius of 2 tiles around Flametail as well as briefly Stunning them, and give friendly units within its range a chance to dodge Physical attacks for 10 seconds.
   • Pinus Sylvestris can be used to good effect when Flametail and her allies are expecting large, constant swarm of enemies especially early in the operation.
3. Flameheart generates 8 DP over 8 seconds, during which Flametail has her attack interval reduced, ATK buffed, and block count increased by one, and gains a high chance to dodge Physical and Arts attacks.
   • Despite the short duration, Flameheart's high dodge and good uptime effectively bolsters the odds of Flametail surviving from high-ATK enemies by a significant margin, not to mention the offensive buff allows her to dish out heavier punishment especially if Flametail is engaging multiple enemies at once, and allows Flametail to function as a makeshift Protector Defender.
   • Flameheart's short duration, however, means Flametail will often fail to take out said high-ATK enemy, and she will be wide open after it ends.

Operator Modules

1. The SOL-X Module, Their Future, increases Flametail's ATK and DEF by 8% while she is blocking enemies in addition to increasing her ATK and DEF. Once upgraded, Pinus Sylvestris Leader's dodge is increased and it also restores SP to Kazimierzian Operators when they are deployed.
2. The SOL-Y Module, The Origins of Pinus Sylvestris, reduces Flametail's DP cost by 4 when she is deployed for the first time (and only the first time in an operation) in addition to increasing her maximum HP and ATK. Once upgraded, Vanguard Swordsmanship now also increases the damage dealt by the attack.

Base skills

Flametail's base skills provide various improvements while she is assigned to the Control Center.

1. Tiny Leader makes Operators in the Control Center (including Flametail herself) recover 0.05 morale per hour, which stacks with other similar base skills.
2. Knights of Pinus Sylvestris causes each P.S. Operator in Factories to increase their respective Factory's Battle Record productivity by 10% but reduces its Pure Gold productivity by 10%.

Summary

Flametail is an excellent Pioneer Vanguard who can generate steady stream of DP and allowing herself to remain on the field longer than other Vanguards while also inflicting more damage against enemies who approach her.

Even though she looks simple, Flametail's spirit of burning flame will make her accomplish something unimaginable.
